Paige turned. "Hey." She huffed, still on the step.

"You can't just leave like that." Her mom said gently which only bothered Paige more because she knew her mom was really upset.

"You can't just be really rude to me and not expect me to get upset." Paige stated bluntly.

Her mother narrowed her eyes. "Your to sensitive that's why." She raised her eyebrow while she crossed her arms.

"Maybe I am. But it still hurt me very much so take the feed back and don't do it again."

"I'm your mother." She pointedly stated.

"That doesn't give you the right to be cruel to me." Paige voice began to raise. How could her mother not see how much she was hurting her. That she was one of the reasons that she felt so closed of. That she was the reason the she'd lay in bed with tears silently rolling down her checks. How was her mother so oblivious to how much she had been hurting her.

"Go to your room."

"Gladly." Paige said raising her hands up in the air as she walked up the rest of the steps.

She scowled the rest of the way to her room, which she shared with Kat. She creaked the door open and quietly shut it. She took out a pair of her fuzzy pj pants and a long sleeve comfy shirt. She quietly changed in the dark room, not really wanting to go across the hallway to the bathroom in case she were to see her mother. She climbed her latter to the top of the bunk bed. She laid down, letting out a long breath and letting her body relax and lose the tension it had been holding.

She heard the bottom bunk creak.

"We're talking about this tomorrow." She heard Kat say groggily, probably referring to where Paige had been late into the am.

"Fine." She said with a smile on her lips.

She and Kat had a love hate relationship. Partly because whenever Paige and her mom fought Kat usually would side with her mom. Which annoyed Paige like crazy. But they mostly had their good days. Working together. Taking care of their siblings together. Talking together.

Paige and her mom had good days, too. But having the good days made the bad days worse. The good days would leave Paige wondering when her mom would explode and chastise her.

Paige closed her eyes, getting comfortable in her bed. She debated on whether or not she should text Shawn. She decided not to, wouldn't want him to think that I'm clingy...

She closed her eyes, hoping sleep would come soon.
