Shawn and Paige sat on the steps of the party house. The door was still wide open propped up with someone's shoe. The music was so loud they could still hear it blasting from outside. Shawn laughed loudly, drinking from his cup. Paige looked at him smiling with her eyebrows raised.

"What?" Shawn laughed looking at her almost spilling his drink.

"You are so drunk. Please tell me this isn't your first time drinking." Paige laughed this time she almost spilled her drink due to Shawn tapping her arm. She looked up seeing him standing up with a cup in his hand he swayed to the music singing along rather loudly.

Paige stood up looking at Shawn. He turned to her smiling saying, "This is my jam!"

Love Story by Taylor Swift blasted. He started to sway back and forth yelling the lyrics out. Paige grinned at Shawn.

"You know i have 6 points now." Shawn pointedly said looking at her trying to be serious. Paige looked at him confused. He looked at her and smiled, "you know." He raised his eyebrows.

"Uhh no I don't know," Paige laughed shoving his shoulder. They were being friendly with each other maybe because of the alcohol or maybe because they had both been lonely and finally had someone to tease and touch. He looked at her staring into her eyes, the alcohol turning of the little part of his brain that would've told him that he' was looking to long.

"You have pretty eyes," Shawn whispered suddenly a couple inches from Paige's face. Paige looked down at his lips leaning closer. There noses were only inches away. She could fell his worm breath on her face. Her heart speed up. She leaned closer in and then pulled away. Shawn was clearly drunk and she didn't want to kiss him when he was and she definitely wouldn't want him to kiss her and forget about.

Shawn's eyes widened and he stepped back and started nervously fidgeting with the bottom of his shirt.

"Oh i'm so sorry." Shawn said with a worried expression on his face.

"Don't be," Paige said softly giving him a closed lipped smile. Paige was hoping that Shawn would forget all about this awkward encounter in the morning. She wasn't positive he would though. She was hoping this would hopefully not mess up their potential friendship.

She felt like if she had kissed him it wouldn't have felt like it was to soon but in reality they had only just met a day ago. How could she feel like she'd know him longer? Was it that it was so easy to talk to him or that she felt like she didn't have to always be energetic and happy around him? Either way she wanted Shawn to be in her life for as long as she could keep him their and if they had a relationship she was sure it'd last less then 6 month due to prior break ups.

She was surprised when Shawn held out his hand for her to take. She tilted her head and let out a laugh at the whole situation. She gave her his hand he took it and lifted it high spinning her. He spun her and spun her until Paige let out a breathy laugh. "I'm sooo dizzy!" Paige said putting out her arms for balance. Paige slowly bent down to the ground and sat. She then proceeded to lay down and look up at the sky. The stars were spinning. Shawn joined her laying side by side.

"We're back at the beginning." Paige whispered. The sky was darker then it had been when they had first looked at the sky.

Shawn turned his head towards her smiling, "We are, it seems."

I don't like this, Paige thought. She rolled on her side. She was grateful that they were laying on the grass and not the hard path. Paige looked at the stars. She had no clue what she should say and wondered if that mattered. Shawn on the other hand wanted to say something. He had everything planned out. He would turn to her and say that he liked being with her and she would turn to him and agree. Then they would both get up and go home and watch a movie and cuddle. Shawn knew that he was probably a tad bit drunk but he liked being drunk well sometimes. It made him looser and made him not think over ever minuscule detail.

Shawn sat up and looked at Paige.

"I like being with you." He confidently said. Paige was confused and deep down maybe a little happy. No one had openly said anything like that to her. She was always the one who initiated saying those kind of things.

Paige spoke softly, "I like being with you too."

Shawn nodded standing up. "Let's go watch a movie."

He reached down for Paige's hands and lifted  her on her feet. She looked at her phone, 10:39.

It wasn't even that late.

"Sure why not," Paige shrugged. Wiping off her pants from the grass.

"Hmmm I'll go get Brian's car keys." Shawn said marching towards the front door with purpose. Paige followed, glad they were leaving the party. They shuffled past people not wanting to accidentally bump into someone. Paige held onto a part of Shawn's shirt not wanting to lose him.

Shawn stopped. Paige bummed into him and stepped to his side. Shawn was tapping Brian on the shoulder trying to get his attention. Brian was doing shots with Kat and a couple other people. They all laughed while Brian downed his spilling most of it on his shirt. They cheered and began singing. Kat sat there, dazed smiling at Brian.

Shawn finally got his attention and asked him for the car. Brian agreed hastily and handed Shawn the keys. Shawn grabbed the keys and showed Paige. He grinned at her Paige grabbed them quickly out of his hands.

"Hey!!" Shawn whined trying to snatch them back.

Paige kept on walking waiting to talk once they were outside so she could actually hear him.

There was a cold breeze. It was colder then she remembered. She looked around for Shawn.

Someone tazered her and she quickly turned around.

"Shawn!" She yelled swatting at him.

"You didn't scream." Shawn disappointedly said.

"Your such a child." Paige smiled shaking her head.

"I'm driving." Shawn stated.

"I'm not in the mood to die." Paige said raising her eyebrow.

"I had like one drink."

"I don't care how many drinks you had. Your not driving."

"But your just a little baby." Shawn said patting her head. Paige swatted at it looking sourly at him.

"Do you even have your license?"

"Yes! Just not on me but that's better then having you drive." She said starting I walk to the car. Shawn followed.

"Why?"

"Why what?" Paige asked.

"Why don't you have your license with you?" Shawn curiously asked. He knew she had her wallet, so why wasn't it in there?

"My mom took it." She sighed. Walking to the drivers side of the car and hoping in.

She shut her door and started the car. Shawn and her buckled up.

"Any who, I'm surprised Brian gave these up so quickly." She said referring to the keys. Shawn nodded. "He was so drunk and always agrees to things when he is." Shawn laughed even though there was nothing truly funny about his comedy.

Paige nodded already knowing that. She had only said that to fill the silence.

"Okay, where to?" Paige asked taping on the wheel.

"Hmmm. Your house?" Shawn asked.

"Umm okay." Paige hesitantly said.

"Can you pull up maps on your phone so I can plug mine into the aux chord so we can jam?"

"Yeah."

Shawn clicked the address and Paige plugged in her phone. She blasted music while they drove out from the party.

She was surprised that Shawn was hanging out with her the whole night. Didn't he have friends? Paige decided that he indeed had friends, they just weren't here. Wether that was true or false that was the only reason Paige could muster for him hanging out with her.
