Music played in the car as Paige drove. Shawn laid back in his seat, tired.
"How ya doin, Shawn?" Paige asked. He nodded while drinking from a water bottle Paige had given him earlier in car ride.
"Good good. Getting a little less foggy." Shawn quietly laughed to himself. Paige nodded. She put one hand to her mouth covering her yawn.
"Now your making me-" Shawn yawned.
"You were looking, so of course you're gonna yawn." Paige said through her own yawn.
"Hmph." Shawn still yawning.
"Ahhh I can't stop yawning," Paige said. Tears from yawing were slowly sliding down her cheek. Shawn shifted in his seat looking at her. He didn't dare to reach out and wipe them away for her. He wouldn't want her to be weirded out or anything.
Paige looked at Shawn reading his face, "Ya know drunk Shawn would've wiped my tears for me." She said looking at him with an amused expression on her face. His eyes went wide.
"Oh no what did i say?"
"The real question is 'what did you do.'" Paige said lightly with a teasing tone to her voice.
Shawn threw his head pack onto the seat cushion, covering his face with his eyes.
"I'll still be able to go to school, right?" Shawn asked with worry in his tone.
"Shawn, I was just joking you didn't do anything that would remotely be embarrassing." Paige sighed.
Shawn let out a sigh of relief.
"But you are a huge lite weight so I guess that's somewhat embarrassing." Paige smiled.
Shawn groaned still covering his face.
"It's okay...it's cute." Paige assured.
Shawn slowly brought his hands off his face. "You think i'm cute?" Shawn teased. Paige's face started to get hot.
"No I don't!" Paige exclaimed and then looked at him. "I mean no?..yes?. Fine Shawn you're cute and now I'm scared and stressed." Paige said matter of factly.
Shawn laughed. "No need to be stressed or scared Paige. I know i'm just too cute to handle."
"Oh my gosh, just shut up and let me drive." Paige grumbled.
"But-"
"Nah ah let's just let me drive and listen to Drake." Paige said.
"Fine." Shawn grumbled.
A soft smile played out on both of their faces.
