Y/N's P.O.V

I stayed in the lobby as the police stirred around the cheap hotel. There wasn't anywhere else to go since I couldn't really get to my room. I overheard the counter worker talking on the phone and I'm pretty sure he said someone was murdered... I remembered that I looked into that room, but I can't remember seeing any faces... just scattered clothes. I also must have heard her scream.... but I couldn't really tell if it was a scream of terror or pleasure... Man, I would suck as a cop.

The police were looming in and out of the room. I wanted to leave, this was way too much. I could get unwanted attention just by being here. But I couldn't leave without my bag, maybe I could try to walk by them nonchalantly? Maybe they won't notice me?

I started to walk past them but because of my luck, I was abruptly stopped by a tall woman. "Excuse me, is this your room?" She asked and pointed at my room.

"Yes ma'am," I replied.

"Did you hear anything weird?" She asked, pulling out a notepad to write on.

"Honestly, I thought they were having... um..."

"How can I say this without sounding like a perv?"

"You thought what?" She asked, clearly not understanding my struggle.

"I thought they were having.... sex," I looked away from her as she stopped, and looked up at me.

"What was that ma'am/sir?" She asked again, clearly getting annoyed.

"Sex...they were having sex."

"And how do you know that ma'am/sir?" She gestures for me go on as if it was the obvious thing to do.

"I um... there was this hole in my wall, and I got curious so I l-looked in it. And I saw clothes scattered across the room, and there was a lump on the bed the size of two people bouncing up and down, and I'm pretty sure I saw the guy throw a thong out from under the covers..... So yeah....sex."

"Thank you, ma'am/sir, you can now go to your room." She let out a sigh including an rolled eye roll.

"That was... something." I thought.

I quickly walked into my room and grabbed my bag. Thank god that I didn't unpack when I was bored earlier. I pulled my key out of my front pocket and left it on the bed. As soon as I opened the door to leave, I felt a pair of eyes on me. It wasn't any of the cops, I know this because they were all in the murder room. I looked to my left to only see a dark shadow looking my way. With a gush of wind blowing into my face, the figure disappeared.

"Must've been nothing..." I mumbled as I headed to my car
