Chapter 9: Leaving

So today is the day Ice is gone rape Cree. I feel horrible because I can't do shit about it. So I took her on a breakfast date this morning.

"Babe you okay?" she asked looking at her ihop menu.

"Yeah," I said low.

"No you're not. Tell me what's wrong." she said glancing up at me for a second.

"You'll see." I mumbled under my breath and she looked at me weird.

She got a text and smiled so I already knew it was that nigga King or Camrin as Cree calls him. That nigga text her everyday so I know he want more than a friendship from her.

"Fuck you smiling for?" I asked. Her smile turned into a frown and she touched my arm. I pulled it away quickly and decided to flirt with the waitress who just came.

"Hi my name is Erica, how can I help you?" the waitress said.

"You tell me." I said licking my lips and she blushed. Cree scoffed and basically threw her menu at Erica.

"Just get us two orange juices and three blueberry pancakes each." Cree said looking her up and down.

Chris has been acting off lately, and I think it's something deeper than me talking to Camrin. It's like he knows something I don't. Then this nigga wanna start flirting with this waitress and I was beyond done.

"Chris what is your problem?" I asked calmly. He just shook his head and looked down at his hands.

He was irritating me so I just ate my food and went to go sit in the car while I waited for him to come out. A couple minutes later he came out and started the car.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"To the fair." he said parking. The fair was a block away from the ihop. Chris paid for us to get in and we went straight to the Ferris wheel. I climbed in the seat and Chris did the same and the ride started.

"Promise me you'll never hate me." Chris mumbled into my hair as we stopped at the top of the wheel.

"Why would I -(gco)"

"Just promise me." he said wrapping an arm around my shoulder. I was honestly so confused and I knew something was up.

"I can't promise you that." I said looking everywhere but at him.

He turned my face to him and kissed me like it was the last time he'd ever see me. We spent a couple hours there and went back home Chris's whole crew was there.

"We just came to say goodbye." Michael said hugging me tighter than ever.

"Where y'all goin Mike?" I asked. He just shook his head. "No where." he said getting in his car and leaving.

Mijo and Trell gave me hugs and the other members of Chris's crew just waved, said goodbye and left. Now I know for sure something's going on.

"Chris what-(gco)"

"Just get in the car." he sighed.

"So you're just not gonna tell me what's going on?" I asked him as he pulled out of the driveway.

He didn't say anything. "Hellooo. I'm talking to you asshole!" I said. He still didn't budge. Twenty minutes later we arrived at Ice's trap house.

"What are we doing here?" I asked. "Just follow me." Chris said not even looking me in my face. The big guy posted at the door let us in. Chris led me upstairs and told me to sit on the bed.
