♡Chapter 9 - part 2♡

Jihoon rubbed his eyes, tossing in the blanket as he wondered where he was. The room looked simple - a white wall with some ornaments here and there, a table top and bed.

But where the hell was he?

I must have been kidnapped or something. Or so he thought.

He crawled off the bed and pushed open the bedroom door which revealed a minimalistic-designed living room. His eyes scanned through the clutter to spot a tuff of hair. Immediately, he ran up and grabbed the man's hair, jolting him awake.

"You bastard what have you done to me?! "

"OWWW OWW HEY STOP!"

"MINGYU?! Man you could have said earlier." Jihoon let go of Mingyu's hair, sheepishly grinning.

"How could I have told you if I didn't even know you were awake?!" Mingyu rubbed his head, trying to soothe the pain. He glared at Jihoon and for once, Jihoon backed down.

"Let's go now."

"Go where?"

"To see Soonyoung, idiot." Jihoon slapped the back of Mingyu's neck.

"He's so happy. He probably forgot everything we had together." Jihoon pushed his head into Mingyu's chest. "This is all my fault." Jihoon started to bawl and Mingyi panicked, trying to hush Jihoon but to no avail. The smaller boy just kept sniffing and wailing as his small fists clung onto Mingyu's shirt. 

"Hey it's okay. He's happy right? And that's most important. Hey now don't cry okay?" Mingyu stroked Jihoon's hair, making his best attempt to make Jihoon's cries subside. After a while, Jihoon's cries turned to silent sobs, turning cautiously away from Mingyu, he glanced at Soonyoung from the corner outside the shop. He couldn't help himself from biting his lips, seeing how Soonyoung was so happy without him. It was almost an unbearable sight to look at. How he wished he could just walk past the shop door and run into Soonyoung's arms. So near yet so far.

The duo stared into the shop, observing the 'sunshine couple'. However, when Soonyoung glanced at their direction, they quickly hid behind the wall again.

"I think we should make a dash for the car."

"On 3. 1, 2, 3-"

And the duo were already sprinting into the black Mercedes parked farther away from Ben and Jerry's. They jumped into the seats of the car, heaving a sigh of relief. It doesn't take long, though, for Jihoon to break down into tears again when the scene pops up in his mind.

Mingyu sighs as he watches the smaller boy curl up into a ball, crying into his arms. Mingyu purses his lips, looking into the distance mumbling, "I wish I never helped you in the first place. "

A/n: I'm so sorry I haven't updated in like weeks? I meant to update the week after the last chapter but then I had a concert to rehearse for, and then tests to study for. It's also the most important year for me because I'm graduating and I want to do well academically. I'll try my best to update as frequently as possible but if I don't, I hope you guys still continue reading this story as I will start actively updating after November again! :) Love y'all <3
