Why did it feel like,
I had been shut out,
I had been tossed around,
taken advantage of?
Why did it feel like,
I constantly fought for a place in the world,
I constantly fought with the people who had my heart?
And why did it feel like,
People lie when they say everything's gonna be okay?
Because they don't know what emotions hide behind the smile.
But then I met you,
and you change the way I see everything.
You change my feelings about all the people i know.
And when you smile at me,
You never shut me out.
You never let me down.
I don't have to fight
for a place in your heart.
Because you have my heart.
And you love me.
You fight for me when you need to.
You apologize even when I am wrong.
You truly make me believe,
everything's going to be okay.
And you've turned a smile that hides a thousand emotions into a smile that shines with love.
