My mom woke me up soon after our conversation. I had just fell into a deep sleep free she left my room because I was so tired.

Being blind really did take it out of a guy.

"Isaac. Isaac, sweetie?" Mom was shaking me quite violently whilst I was coming to my senses.

"What? What is it?" I croaked whilst straighten myself up on my bed. I felt for my moms hand.

She found it and gripped it caringly.

"Where's Graham? I wailed, thinking something happened.

"Graham's fine honey. I called Mrs. Lancaster's cell. It's Hazel. She's in hospital." She whispered, her chin pressed against my cheek.

"Mom. What happened?" I was so close to breaking down.

"She's okay? Mom, tell me she's okay?" I wailed, hands flaying and my eyes filling up with tears.

"She's unconscious Isaac. They drained 1.5 litters of fluid from her lungs." Oh my god. Oh my fucking god.

Please be okay.

Hazel, please be okay. "you were right sweetie."

"but she's okay, right? She'll live?" I could hear the desperation in my own voice. My mom was cradling me now, like a kid who fell of there bike and scratched their knee.

"She has pneumonia Isaac. She was outside."

"What?" I was so confused. Outside? Why?

"They found her by Augustus's grave. They don't know how long she was there." She whispered, drying my tears.

"Hours..." I whispered to myself. That's when I decided what I had to do.

If Gus couldn't be there for Hazel, then I should be.

"Mom. Drive me to the hospital."
