The next few weeks flew in so fast.
I suppose it was because everything was so good. So pure.
Hazels health- which would never be good- was stable. I had more or less forgotten about Monica. While grieving Augustus was never going to leave me- or Hazel- the pain of his death was becoming more and more bearable as the days past.
And best of all, me and Kaitlyn had been getting on extremely well. We spent so much time together. Every night.
Watching movies, going on picnics ad having dinners with each other's families.
Kaitlin's dad- Barry- was a nice man, who was easy to talk to. I had dinner at there home twice, and one both occasions, it had been a great night.
Kaitlyn had dinner at my house too. Graham loved Kaitlyn- said she was like the sister her never had.
Mom loved her too.
Almost as much as I did.
We'd been spending a lot of time with Hazel too. The three of us went to the mall a lot, and Kaitlyn came to support group with us a few times.
She thought it was bullshit, too.
That's when I realised, she's a keeper.
One night, at about 11pm, exactly a month and 7 days after meeting Kaitlyn,my cell rang. The band perry's sweet music filled my bedroom, which was kaitlyns ringtone.
"Kaitlyn. What's up?" I asked in a sleepy voice, raising my cell to my right ear, propping myself up on one elbow in bed, because I had just woken up.
"Hey sweetie." She spoke with her usual, sexy, seductive voice.
God she was so out of my league. I just wish I could she her. " you busy?" She questioned.
"Nope, just woke up." Silence. "Why?"
"I'm gonna swing by and pick you up. Be ready in 10. My house is free tonight. Tell you mom your going to stay at a friends."
oh my god. It was happening. It was finally happening. She was wanting me to stay the night with her. god, I had wanted this for so long, I didn't think she felt the same way.
But she does.
"Okay." I answered in what I thought was a silky smooth seductive voice, but I could her the nervousness coming threw.
I hope she didnt.
"See you soon." She whispered into the speaker.
I got up, and put on my sneakers which I had abandoned at on the floor beside my bed before my nap.
"Graham!" I wailed. He came rushing in.
"What? What's wrong?"
"Cover for me. I'm staying at Kaitlyns tonight." Usually, I'd be more secretive of this sort of thig, but there wasn't anytime, Kaitlyn would be here soon.
"Tell mom, I'm sick, you put me to bed and I don't want her to come in cause I need rest or something." I told, fixing my glasses, grabbing my phone and grabbing my guiding stick.
"Damn you Isaac, not again-" Graham whined.
"Graham, last time we never got caught."
"You promised me no more covering your tracks when you snuck out dude. Come on. I thought being blind meant you can't, you know, be a rebel anymore. Maybe it's time you started acting like a good boy." Graham suggested. He sounded more like a dad, and not a younger brother.
I smiled in what I think was his direction.
"Good boys or bad boys who haven't got caught." that got a laugh out of him. But he still wasn't roped into it. "I'll give you ten bucks"
"Deal" he shook my hand, pulled me to my feet and led me out the front door- mom was asleep in her bedroom- where Kaitlyn took over his job.
We drove to her home, 10 minutes from mine and went inside.
We sat on the couch and listened to the band Perry, drank some of her dad's wine she found in the fridge and she enlightened me one her dad's whereabouts.
"Meeting in Texas." She gulped down wine. "flew out this morning and home tomorrow afternoon."
I could hear the smile I her beautiful face.
"All by ourselves then." I whispered into her ear. I gulped down my wine and set the cup on the ground.
I grabbed Kaitlyn by the waist and she crawled into my lap, legs wrapped tightly around me. I could feel her exposed legs and that's when I realised she was wearing a dress.
A silk one, going by the feel of it.
I pulled her close to me and she kissed me hard on the lips, knocking my glasses askew.
I didn't mind.
As she thrusted herself forward, I began to kiss her neck and she let out a groan. I lay down on the sofa, and she lay on top of me. I kicked of my shoes, and she did the same.
We made out there for a while and then she got off the top of me, pulling me onto my feet and wrapped her arm threw mine.
"Shall we head to the bedroom?" she whispered to me.
So we headed to the bedroom.
