"Hey!" Graham, my little brother screamed as my mom lead me through our white, PVC front door.

At least I think it was white. When you go blind it's hard to remember the tiny details of everything.

"Sup bud?" I questioned, while mom guided me to our soft sofa. I planted my ass down and lay back, letting out a great sign.

Thank fuck that support group was over.

"A girl called." Graham said, a hint of sarcasm in his tone. I could tell he had moved closer to me since I entered our living room.

The doctors were right. When you do go blind your other senses improve.

Whoop day do for moi.

"Monica?" I questioned with a hint of desperation in my voice. "Dude, get over that wicked bitch. It wasn't her. And believe me if it was, I would tell her to go and fu-" graham started.

"Hey! Less of the language, you little maggot!" Mom interrupted from the kitchen.

Graham stopped.

"Yeah, less about Monica!" I warned.

"It wasn't her...it was Gus's girl."

"Her name is Hazel."

Well, her name is Hazel is showing up here any minute now. Please tell me your not trying to steal your dead best buds dying girl? Jees, Isaac, that's low."

"Graham! Less of it! Go to your room!" Moon interrupted. Again.

"Yeah, you little prick." I said.

Graham stomped off in to his room, and I was left alone in the living room.

Mom entered a few seconds later- although it felt like longer- and plonked herself on the couch next to me.

"So, sweetie, how was SG?"

Mom questioned.

"Really mom? SG? Call it support group for crying out loud." I answered with a giggle.

"And it was okay by the way."

"Great."

Silence.

"So...how's Hazel? I mean...how are you two?"

"Mom! Stop it! Me and Hazel are just friends!"

I just think she would help take your mind of-"

"What? Off what? Monica? Augustus? Help take my mind of Augustus? He's not even des five minutes and your going to set me up with is dying girl? No mom, just no! Me and Hazel are friends. Friends who are there for each other in a friendly way! Friends! Okay?" I ranted, arms flying.

"Sweetie...I didn't mean-" I heard the desperation in her voice.

"I know...mom...I know." I started, fumbling around for her hand. She grabbed it tightly.

"It's just been hard. Hard for me and for her. She loved him. We loved him. It's hard to get over someone like Augustus Waters."

"He was an incredible young man." mom whispered whilst hold my hand and fumbling with my hair, and her head sunk into my shoulder.

"That he was mom...that he was."
