5 years later.
I just turned 23, two weeks ago.
Kaitlyn and mom organised a surprise party for me at Wilkinsons Bar and Restaurant. It was a good night, Graham brought his friends, mom brought hers and Kaitlyn brought hers. Hazel brought some friends too.Obviously, I had friends there also.
But not the one I wanted the most.
Augustus.
It's been 5 years since Augustus. Even thought as the days pass, the pain as grieve gets more bearable, there will always be a hole in my heart that can only be filled with a pretentious bastard like him.
God, I miss him.
Me and kaitlyn is still going strong. we moved in together last year and now Kaitlyn's 5 months pregnant. It was unplanned, obviously, but we couldn't be happier. Kaitlyn was taking classes at MCC to become a social worker- Like Frannie, Hazels mom- and she just finished them before becoming pregnant.
Now Frannie and Kaitlyn are fully qualified social workers.
Hazel doesn't live with her parents anymore. She lives in the same block of apartments as Kaitlyn and I. She got an apprenticeship with the company Kaitlyn and Frannie work with, and she's loving it.
AlSo her health is stable, which is a miracle.
Doctors says she was mesmerised by how well Hazel is doing. Things could take a turn for the worst anytime, but we learn to live with that.
If Hazel can do it, we can too.
So now, I'm an expectant dad to a little girl. We found out at the last ultra sound.
Together, me Hazel and Kaitlyn, we decorated the spare room of our apartment.
It's totally pink apparently, according to hazel.
Kaitlyns choice obviously.
Now everything's done, we just have to wait.
