"All right guildmates," the announcer continues, "Show us your skill, you magic, and the bonds that tie you together." The audience cheers. I swear the crowd just makes noise no matter what he says."Some more than others." Ugh. His suggestive tone makes the audience grow even louder. My face pop up on the giant screen right next to Grays. A pit drops in my stomach. I'm not sure how long I can put up with this. I sense a angry presence as I look over towards the Sabertooth team. I gasp when I see Sting keen stare aimed directly at me. His eyes almost...avid.

"Come on Y/n," Erza says sternly grabbing my arm. I followed her to our position on the field.

"This is it," the announcer broadcasts, his voice intensifies, "The last round of the Grand Magic Games will feature a full team survival game!" A survival game huh? This ought to be fun. Before I realize a scheming smirk appears across my lips. It soon vanishes when I feel a hand wrap around my waist. This is such a strange feeling.

"You really are a competitive one," Gray laughs in my ear. My eyes pop up at his words. They unfortunately find their way to none other than a certain White Dragon Slayer. Suddenly Sting's eyes lock with mine.Shit. Shit. And double shit. Though his tempting blue orbs attempt to draw me in, I tear myself away from them, and Gray while I'm at it. I need to focus.

"Alright," Erza orders, "let's head out."

~Time Skip~

"The teams have already dispersed among the city's streets," the announcer explains. I could hear him from all the way out here. Curse my dragon ears. Though I tune him out as we review our game plan.

"Okay so who do you think should be our leader?" Gray asks, eyeing the team. No one really knows what to say.

"I mean if things go as planned," I begin, "Then it won't matter, right?" My eyes search the others' for any kind of answer.

"But even with the plan we have," Gajeel explains, "There are risks."

"True," I acknowledge, "But the First Master is a true strategic mastermind."

"Okay then why don't you do it?" Laxus taunts. He can't be serious. I let out an uncomfortable chuckle. "Even if her plan works," he explains, "I think you'd be one hell of an opponent to take down." His arms cross. Oh God, he's serious.

"I agree," Erza admits, "Y/n should do it." I swear my jaw actually hit the stone walkway.

"N-No way, "I stutter, "You or Laxus should do it." I look around at Gajeel and Gray for back up. "You know just to be one the safe side." A metal hand pats my shoulder.

"All in favor of Y/n?" Erza inquires. My eyes find the cracks in the pavement. This could be humiliating, I mean I'm not-

My own demeaning thoughts were interrupted by my bewilderment. Every member had raised their hands. My eyes cross the group with astonishment. Even Gajeel had his up. Of course being the 'cool guy' he is, his elbow rest on his knee while his fingers are thrown nonchalantly in the air. I look over to Laxus who is just facing the ground with his eyes closed. Ever the dramatic. My eyes continue until they find Gray who gives me a wholesome smile. I do my best to return it. What am I going to do about him?

"Who will gloriously stand at the pinnacle of the magic world?" the announcer screeches over the speakers, "We'll find out today!" Even from the streets I could hear how rowdy that crowd was. Dang. "Let's rumble!" A series of fireworks explode as the signal for the start.

"READY?!" Erza screams.

"YEAH!" we all yell back. This is definitely going to be a battle to remember.
