Still Going

"Lamia Scale is out of the game!" the announcer shouts over the speakers.

"That's another two points for Fairy Tail," Mato chirps, "And they're sitting pretty at a score of 58." I turn to Gray in shock.

"That means there's only Sabertooth left," I beam, "Oh my gosh Gray we could actually win this thing!" I scream in excitement. I hear him chuckle at my goofiness. I glance up at the lacrima-trons to a shocking sight. Laxus is standing over Jura and Orga's limp bodies. Gajeel is placed above an unconscious Rogue.

"Three down," Gray grumbles, "Two to go."

"Wait," I blurt out, "Look, Erza is fighting that Bitch-erva." I smirk proudly at my nickname for that black-haired witch. "And those two from Mermaid Heel are lying next to her feet." Gray walks up beside me.

"She'll be fine," he explains, "She has on her Nakagami armor." My eyes never leave the screen, gawking at her pure awesomeness. "It's one of her most powerful."Pff, like all of her armors aren't powerful enough.

"Alright," I sigh, "Then I guess we can rest for a bit, eh?" I collapse on the stone pathway. Gray gives me a concerned look. He crouches down beside me.

"Did you hit your head to hard," he groans poking my forehead, "We have to find Sting." Shit. I was hoping he would forget about him. "It's getting dark so we should hurry."He helps me stand, but I push him over. Gray attempts t stand but fails. I guess that battle took more out of him then he'd like to admit. Not to mention his previous victory against Rufus. I stand over him and laugh.

"Come here you stubborn oaf," I grumble, reaching down and grabbing his arm. I sling it over my to act as support for him to walk. He tries to grumble in resistance, but I'm already dragging him along the pavement. As we walk, or as I walk and Gray stumbles, along, I watch Erza finish off Minerva. It was a pleasing sight I'll admit.

Before I realize how long we've been walking, the night sky forms above us. It was beautiful scene, regardless of the lazy lug on my side. Suddenly a giant flare of white light bursts in the sky.

"What...was...that?" Gray wheezes. I place my hand on his chest to steady him.

"I think we found Sting," I sigh. I drag Gray in the direction of the light. What is this idiot thinking?! Does he plan on challenging all of us at once? UGH! Moron. I hear Gray groan from the fast pace I didn't realize I had taken. "I'm sorry," I apologize, "I'll slow down."

"No," Gray groans, "We need to catch him." I roll my eyes at his head-strong ego.

"What's with you and Sting anyway"  I question him. Gray scoffs pathetically.

"Oh no name calling?" he chuckles weakly.

"I could just drop you, ya know," I growl teasingly. He releases a breathy laugh. We trudge a little longer before we reach the sight where Sting is. I hear him growl. Wait he couldn't be jealous at the sight of Gray draped over me. Yeah, right. He probably just didn't think this through is all. Ignoring Sting, I place Gray back on the ground. I then look around to see Laxus and Gajeel already there , settling just moments before us. Erza struggles to stumble up next to me, a branch-looking cane in her hand. Damn, what did they do to her?

"Wow," Sting begins, "Now that's a sight." A collective groan came from a few of my teammates. "Being surrounded by the heroes of my childhood really isn't all that grand," he chuckles.

"Enough chit-chat," Gajeel growls, "We didn't come here to make friends."

"Yeah," Gray stirs beside me, "We'll take you on-on-one just pick somebody."
