// Don't you wanna take me up in the clouds pretend that I'm the one and you can show me about //
Finally. We had finally landed. I had absolutely no clue what time of day it was in New York, but I couldn't be any more ecstatic about leaving this cramped space, although I had mixed feelings about my new friend Matty. I guess that's what he was, a friend.
"You better be comfortable with,, drunk texts Tris!" Matty exclaimed.
Although I knew he wasn't joking, I somehow hoped we would actually stay in contact. As we were moving through the aisle of the plane, I tried my hardest to steer clear of Ross. Once we were out and I had gathered my luggage, I gave Matty a quick hug and went to meet up with the rest of my classmates at the subway station because that was going to be our prime way of traveling through this concrete jungle.
"I'm sorry about how I was acting on the plane babe, I'll find a way to make it up to you, I promise." Ross said.
"Ross, it's really whatever, it doesn't matter that much."
I just wanted to put behind all that drama and focus on this trip, I've been dying to go to New York City since I was a little girl, and there's no way I was going to let a petty fight distract me from enjoying every minute of it.
The hotel we were staying at was only a 30 minute ride on the subway from the airport, and for some bizarre reason, we had each been given our own rooms. The room I was staying in was very scenic, there was a perfect view of what I loved most about the city; the people.
Just as I was starting to go into a daze, a knock at the door startled me. Once I answered, in walked in Ross.
"Triiiissss I have the perfect night planned for us next Friday since we have free time from six to nine since it's our last day. I know it's already late and almost past curfew, but I just thought I'd let you know."
"That's really sweet Ross, I can't wait!"
Once Ross left, I decided to settle down with a book, and as I was almost drifting off, I heard something hit my second floor window, and my phone vibrate at the same time.
*From Matty*
Open your window sweetheart, Romeo and Juliet didn't end up together without a little borderline stalking.
