// According to your heart my place is not deliberate //

Before I had time to question why Matty had made this grand gesture, something in me had forced myself to open the window and in the least graceful way, "slide" down to the ground. I guess my version of sliding required a few battle wounds like a giant scrape on my knee.

"How did you find out where I was staying? And why are you here?" I asked Matty.

"You ask far too many questions, you know, most of the questions we have can be answered by themselves through experiences that involve the people we want to ask those questions to." He stated.

"Okay you're either trying to confuse the living shit out of me, or be the next Ghandi."

"Come on, no more time for small talk, we have to get going if I'm gonna get the chance to show you what I came here to do."

As he grabbed my hand, we started running through streets and side streets and alleyways like a couple of kids. It was almost romantic. But as soon as we were about half an hour away from the hotel, Matty pulled out a bandana and began to fold it in a way that reminded me of a blindfold.

"We're almost there, I want it to be a surprise so pleaaaase wear this."

Although I was slightly confused, I put on the blindfold just like he asked and tried to analyze my surroundings to the best I could as we entered a building and walked up many sets of stairs. As soon as we stopped walking up the stairs, Matty untied the blindfold and I felt a bit of a chill. I probably should've worn something other then my pajama shorts and Ross's old t-shirt.

As I opened my eyes, I saw the most beautiful rooftop that reminded me of something from the movies. There were bright clusters of lights everywhere, and plenty of roses growing. There was also a magnificent view of the city, and I could actually see stars shining.

"What do ya think?" Matty stammered.

"I think that this is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. But are we gonna get like arrested for trespassing or something?" I muttered.

"You're hilarious Tris, this is part of my apartment, I bought a separate place to stay during my visits to the city a few months back, although I got some people to help me make it look nice, this rooftop is mine."

"Well what are we gonna do now? Stare at the stars and have some small talk?" I joked.

"Wellll I'm not sure about you, but after a long day I always find the value in unwinding with a bottle of red and a fag, but I don't know if you do either of those. Don't be offended but at first I thought you were a little prudish."

Secretly I knew I was a little on the proper side, but since Matty already had that opinion of me, I would have to prove him otherwise. I had never smoked before, but alcohol was something I had a few times previously.

As I saw him light up his cigarette then take it between his lips, I started to feel a little flustered. Was I actually being attracted to someone smoking?

"Can I offer you something, or do you fancy staring more?"

For what felt like the millionth time that day, I felt my cheeks start to burn up.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'll stop." I said awkwardly.

"You're far too innocent for your own good, don't get all flustered love, if I saw you smoking my eyes might just fall right out of their sockets."

With that I grabbed a cigarette from his pack and attempted to light it, which miserably failed. As I was about to set it down and call it a night, Matty put the cigarette between my lips and successfully lit it up. Once I took a drag, I tried to blow the smoke in Matty's face but ended up coughing in his face instead. How sexy of me.
