"So do you live far from here?" Josh started. "I could drive you back to your place if you would like." He looked at me with a soft face. I turned away from him with just my head taking in my surroundings. I lived only a ten minute walk from here.
"I don't want to be a bother. I only live a few minutes away. I can walk there." I looked back at Josh.
"It wouldn't bother me in the slightest" Josh responded with a smile. We were still standing outside of his house. He motioned for me to follow him to his car. He got in the driver's seat and i slipped into the passenger side. "Do you like Fall Out Boy?" Josh pulled a CD out from his center console. On the front it said 'Folie a Deux'. I simply nodded my head as he then put the disc into the radio. He played with the skip button 'til (Coffee's for Closers) came on. I couldn't resist not singing to i began to sing quietly to myself as Josh pulled out of the driveway.
"Throw your cameras in the air
And wave 'em like you just don't care
I will never believe in anything again
I will never believe in anything again"
"You have a really nice voice..." I looked over at the blue haired man who had complimented me. I blushed slightly but mumbled a thanks to him. He looked over at me and I stared back. After a long moment of staring I laughed nervously.
"What?"
"Well I don't know where to go"
"Oh, yeah, um take a right here." I pointed to streets up from where we were stopped. Soon enough we pulled up to my apartment building. Josh reached back and grabbed a bag from the back seat. I looked back and to my surprise I saw a drum set. He set the bag on his lap and rummaged through it til he pulled out a pen a a notebook. He scribbled quickly onto the paper and ripped it out handing it to me. "You play the drums? Are you in a band?" I asked as i took the paper and looking at it to see his number. If there's one thing i learned about Josh it's that he never fails to make me blush.
"Um... Yeah I play, and i'm not in a band... Well I use to be, but you know things change and shit like that." Josh suddenly nervous rubbed the back of his neck scratching it lightly. He then pointed to the paper. "Oh and um, text me sometime?" His voice was almost weak.
"Yeah, sure of course" I answered excitally, opening the car door and giving him a small wave before standing and walking into the building.
As soon as i walked into my apartment I immediately ran for my phone and put his number in it. My phone was almost dead so I threw it on the charger and laid on my stomach. I couldn't wait to text him so I sent him a text.
'Josh?' as soon as i hit send I laid my phone next to me and buried my face in my arms, suddenly tired. Only moments after I heard a ding. I picked up my phone and what i read put a smile on my face. One so big you could see my crooked teeth.
