Chapter XVI

As we walked in silence I couldn't help but stare at Josh's face. It was beautiful. Everything from his jawline to his C major lips (I'm srry). I love his red hair that always seemed to be a mess, his curls tangled together as some fall near his eyes. I love his mocha eyes and how they always seem to be squinting. His smile is what I love the most, how he can never smiles without showing his teeth. The way he shows me that I matter. In conclusion I think I might be in love with the guy that saved my life.

I'm pulled from my thoughts when I hear Josh's signature giggle. As I pull myself back to reality I see that I was staring at him the whole walk so far and he was now staring back.

"Like what you see?" He laughs. I smile in return a blush slowly creeping up to my cheeks. He snakes his hand around my waist as we reach a trail into the forest. The one I had shown him only yesterday.

"You remembered." it was more of a statement than a question. He nodded and pulled me through. That's when we were met with the opening. The sun was high in the sky, shining down on the field warming my skin. I took a deep breathe and released it feeling better already. Josh released me from his hold and pulled his phone out of his pocket.

"Fall Out Boy?"

"Sure." He started tapping away at his screen until 'She's My Winona' started blaring. He reached for my hand as he threw his phone the ground. He pulled me towards him and spun me around. He just seems to always know how to make me happy, happier than I ever thought I could be. Soon after 'I Don't Care' comes one. It's one of my favorites. Josh and I start to sing the chorus. Well at least I sang it Josh mostly screamed it. His eyes squeezed shut and head pointed to the sky, like he was trying to tell someone miles away. I couldn't contain my laughter. Suddenly he came at me. Lifting me up from my waist and swinging me around still screaming every word. When the song ended he put me down panting and laughing breathlessly. That's when 'What A Catch' began. He stood up fully arms reached out for me. I walked into them and rested my head on his shoulder.

I began to mumble the words as we began to sway slightly. His hands were placed gently at my lower back holding me close to him. I let my arms wrap around his waist. I was singing quietly as the pre chorus began. It was so comfortable in his arms. He is like a safe place.

"You have a nice voice." Josh whispered in a low sweet voice into my ear. I back away slightly to look into his eyes. All movement seized as we placed our foreheads together. I closed my eyes still singing the lyrics. All the words that I was prepared to sing were silenced by Josh's lips as they collided with mine. I stumbled a little, but accepted it as our lips moved in sync.

I dragged my hands from his back to his chest then placed them at the back of his neck to deepen the kiss. This moment felt like a pleasant eternity. Josh breathed in deeply through his nose as we continued. He licked my bottom lip asking for access. I gave it to him as his tongue searched my mouth before dancing with my own.

Sadly we had to stop to catch our breath. We just stared into each others eyes noses pressed together. Josh leaned in again placing a kiss at the corner of my mouth. Then trailing them over to my ear. As soon as he got to my ar i heard his whisper a soft 'Tyler?' I hummed in response enjoying the attention I was getting. "Will you be my boyfriend." My breath hitched in shock, my heart rate rising. He then trailed more kisses down my neck before looking me in the eyes. Before I even allowed it to settle in I kissed him again passionately then saying yes.
