We spent the rest of the day watching the X-Files and laughing. He soon lead me into the kitchen to eat. It smelt so good. It looked even better. I was hesitant to pick up the fork and eat. I could see Josh peeking at me through his eyelashes expectantly. So I took a bite. It tasted amazing. Damn, Josh is a good cook. I didn't eat it all in fear of puking it up later but I ate just about half. As soon as Josh was done I declared myself finish. I told him how great it was and that he's gonna have to cook for me all the time. He simply laughed and took our plated.
It was getting late as the sun started to set. We returned to our spots on the couch and Josh put a horror movie in. When the movie started I was able to identify it as 'Signs'. He must have an obsession with aliens or something. I jumped a few times and gripped onto Josh's shirt tighter. Everytime I did he would laugh lightly. The movie was nearing its end when I looked up at Josh who had his mouth parted slightly while soft snores escaped it. I snuggled in closer to his side and let myself fall back to sleep.
I felt movement next to me and I popped my head up slowly eyes squinting only to see the bright illuminating screen of the tv. I felt a hand pull my head back lightly and start to play with my hair. After a little while I was lifted up and brought into what I assumed to be Josh's room and placed under the covers. The bed shifted slightly and a hand snaked its way around my waist. His body was pressed against mine gently as I fell into a peaceful, dreamless sleep.
