Her sun, His moon

First day

The early morning sun shines through the curtains, waking me from my slumber. Ding, ding. My phones rings on my bedside table, and Haruki's name pops up on the screen. "Morning sunshine:)" The text says. "Morning" I reply. I change and fix my hair, then off to school I go, as happy as a puppy.

School starts at 8 am. " Sora! Over here!" Mai calls me over from under the cherry blossom tree. " Hey Mai! How was you summer?" I ask, looking at my friend's new pet chinchilla, Kai. "Oh it was marvelous! Kai and I have been playing outside mostly." " Cool-" I say, but stop short. Across the quad I see him. " Sora!" He calls, walking over. "Haruki!" I cry, running towards him, not hiding my happiness. He scoops me up in his strong arms and spins me around. When he stops, we're both laughing. I lay my head against his warm chest. "I missed you." I say. " I missed you too." He replies, lightly kissing me on the cheek.

    "You two make me sick." Yagami says, fake gagging. "Agreed. We do it better." Mai says, sidling up against Yagami. They start kissing, getting completely lost in their own world. "Get a room!" A couple students shout. The four of us chuckle, but I immediately regret it. "I need to sit down...." I say, out of breath. "Are you alright Sora?" Haruki asks, helping down with a look of worry in his eyes. I shoo him away as the bell rings. " Are you coming Sora?" He asks me.  "I'll be there in a minute." I reply. How can I keep lying to him?
