I wake up wrapped in Haruki's arms under the covers. I open my eyes lazily, and admire how the sunlight dances across his face. I bring my fingers from his hair down the side of his face, cupping it in my hand. "Sora?" His voice mumbles sleepily. I allow a slight smile, and put my forehead against his. "Morning." I reply. He squints at me, and brushes hair out of my face. "You know what you remind me of?" He starts, a smile dancing across his face. "Hmm?" "A sloth. Get outta bed lazy!!" He says, shoving me out of the blanket. "Yah!!! I was awake before you!!" I exclaim, dashing down the stairs after him.
"Hurry before I eat the last slice of cake!!" He yells. Oh he did not just say that. I know a way to secure the slice. I dramatically fall and fake cry. "Haruki!! Help it... It hurts!" I exclaim, yawning quickly for tears. "Sora?? What happened? Are you alright?" Haruki runs over, cake forgotten. He bends down to look at my face, and I steal a kiss from his lips. "Thanks for the cake babe!" I say giggling, and steal his slice. "That's not fair!!!" I smirk and plop down on the couch. "Anything for cake." I look at his face and he pouts, sticking out his lower lip. "But....but I wanted cake..." He lays on the couch and puts his head on my lap, looking up at me with big puppy dog eyes. "My.....Cake..... FINE! HAVE A PIECE!" I say, putting the fork into his mouth. He gives me a lopsided grin, and I shove him onto the floor. "Cake theif." I mutter under my breath.
"Tsk tsk. You're the one who took MY cake. Not once, but TWICE!" He says, tickling my stomach. "Stop it!!!" I say in between laughter, trying to shove his hands away. He takes advantage of that and moves the cake from my side. "Remember this?" He asks, holding up a blanket. My eye widen with mock horror. "Oh no! Whatever shall I do?? Not the prison!!" I say, trying to stifle my laughter. "To the blanket prison with you!!" He exclaims, and wraps me back up in the blanket. Over our fit of laughter, we didn't hear my father walk through the front door.
"What are you doing here kid." My father asks, arms crossed over his chest. "She's my girlfriend. I'm allowed to be here." I sit there quietly, cheeks turning red from being in the blanket prison. Why did I have to be stuck in here??? "You have no right to live in my house. Get out." My head whips to my father. "Dad!! Why is he an issue now!?" I ask, anxiety tearing through my voice. "He doesn't listen, Sora. Mr. Arigatchi." Haruki straightens and tightens his jaw "Yes sir?" His voice drips with anger. "Leave my house." With that, Haruki walks out of the house and my father marches to his and my mother's room. I sit there for a bit, then start trying to wriggle out of the blanket. "Damn thing." I hiss. I sit there and stare blankly ahead, left alone with my thoughts.
