"Sora........" I hear a voice swimming through the fog of my mind. "Sora, can you hear me?" The voice sounds familiar. I try to fight through the haze and slowly, my eyes open. "Haruki?" I ask, voice low. "Thank god!! Are you alright?" There's concern in those green eyes again. "I'm fi-" "Don't lie to me. You clearly aren't. Tell me what's going on love. Please." I look down, and he clasps my hand. "Sora." "I...... I'm dying." Tears well up in my eyes. "You're.... What??" He asks, voice shaking. "I'm sorry, Haruki.." "No. Don't be sorry. We'll figure something out. We'll find a cure! We'll-" "There's no use Haruki. Let's just enjoy what we have left, yeah?" He fidgets with the blanket. "Don't give up on me like that. You're not leaving me, Sora." I look up at his eyes, and I see resolve. He's not giving up on me, so neither will I.
I nod my head, and a smile breaks out on his face. I take in his features. From his dark green eyes, to arched brown eyebrows and wavy Auburn hair. I watch the way his chest rises and falls, pulling his shirt taught against his chest. "There's that dimple I love to see." I say, messing up his hair. "And there's those beautiful silver eyes I love to gaze at." He pulls me in for a kiss, and for the first time in awhile, I feel safe.......................................................................................
