"Uh oh! Be careful guys! Dead girl coming through." Mai says, standing against a locker with her new found minions. She used to loath people like this. I don't understand what I did to push her to that. "Mai, listen. I-" "Oh my. Guys! I got a chill! I think there's a ghost near us..." She says, giving me the side eye. I huff and walk towards my class. Should I even try to make things right?

More studying takes place today, which I'm grateful for. It gives me time to focus and sort out my emotions, so I can end the day happy. I have three more days until my next doctor visit, but I don't want to go back there. The place gives me weird vibes. Haruki and my parents say it's foolish, but I just can't shake the feeling.....

"What are you thinking so hard about" Haruki asks, placing a light kiss on my cheek before sitting next to me. "Nothing important." I lie, tucking my hair behind my ear and looking at him. His eyes search my face for a moment, before he looks down at his books. "Man! Tests suck." He pouts, furrowing his eyebrows. "Maybe, but your face is adorable!" I tap his nose and let out a surprised giggle when he flips my hair in front of my face. "Hey! You're gonna tangle my hair!!" "You'll live." We both burst into laughter, only to receive a stern look from our teacher, which makes us silently laugh harder.

Classes feel like they pass faster today, and the worst that happened was a light headache that went away after two periods. I walk home with Haruki, and open the front door to the delightful smell of cake. "Hey kids! I hope you like chocolate cake Haruki." My mom says, looking up from her spot on the couch. "I love it Mrs. Hamamoto." He says, walking towards the couch. My mom smiles, and when my dad comes home with pizza, we turn on a movie to watch together.

"Cake's ready!!" My mom calls from downstairs. Haruki and I make eye contact before my dad shouts. "Alright ready? 3! 2! 1! GOOOO!!!" Haruki and I take off in a race down the stairs to the cake. I, being myself, trip Haruki and laugh evilly as I dash the rest of the way to the kitchen. "Cheater!!!" He yells from upstairs as I grab a piece of the cake. "Sora... What did you do?" My mom asks, eyeing me suspiciously. "Noooooofiiiiingg" I reply, mouth full and smirking. Haruki walks towards the kitchen and grabs a piece of the cake, looking at me with fake anger. "She tripped me." He says, pretending to hold his arm in pain. "Oh it was not that bad!" I say, putting my arm protectively around my slice. "Sora I think Haruki deserves that slice." My mom says, reaching for the plate. My eyes widen in mock horror. "Never!!" I say, and dash up the stairs. I close my door, lock it, and sit on the bed, relishing in the quality of the cake. I hear laughter from downstairs and smile to myself.

Laugh at me all they want. They can't have my cake. I hear knocking at the door, and quickly stuff the rest of the cake in my mouth. "Sora I want my slice!" Haruki whines from the other side. I open the door and look up into his eyes. "Too late!" I say, stifling a giggle. He looks me up and down, before throwing me over his shoulder and walking out of the room. "Hey!!!" I say, pounding on his back. "Put me down!!!" He brings me to the living room and sets me on the couch. Leaving me to face him and my parents. "You're under arrest for false winnings and cake theft." My dad says, lowering his voice. "That's so stupid. What're you gonna do? Tie me to the couch?" I snort. They all share a look, and my eyes widen. "You can't be serious!! Don't actually do that!!!" I exclaim, moving to get up. "Too late!" Haruki mocks me, holding me down. The wrap me up and trap me in a blanket, making me sit there while they eat the cake.

"You guys are pure evil." I pout, sticking out my lip. "You're lucky you're cute." Haruki says, and moves a bite of his cake to my mouth. "Yay!!!" I celebrate, doing a weird little wiggle in my blanket prison. We laugh and watch movies until it's time for bed. When I insist that I want to stay in the blanket prison and sleep on the couch, Haruki stays there with me, and we both fall asleep with a smile on our faces.
