"Hi." I waved calmly.
"Hello!" Nathan's mom came over and gave me a firm hug. "It's so good to finally meet you! We've heard so much about you. Wow Nathan she really is as gorgeous as you made her out to be." She smiled.
"Well I wouldn't lie!" He replied smirking and giving me a wink. Jess was standing in the room.
"Hey mom! Can I dye my hair red?" She laughed a little.
"Absolutely not." She answered. "There will only ever be one red head in this family and her name is Kayla. Sorry!" I laughed it off a little. "I was a bit nervous when Nathan told us about your uhm unique hair I thought we might have a punk rocker on our hands. But you seem like a proper lovely girl."
"Awh why thank you!" I was being pelted with compliments!!
"You eat eggs correct? We heard about your vegaterianism."
"Oh yes! I eat everything but legit meat and sea food." I explained my diet to her.
"Wow! Just like Jay, are you sure you and him don't want to date?" Nathan shot his mom a death glare. "I kid, I kid! If you and Jay were together how would I get to see you? You are such a lovely girl I'm glad Nath found one we can actually agree on this time."
"Muuuuum!" Nathan groaned.
"I'm just saying! Was I not right about the last one. What was her name? Ashley or Alyssa. Whatever! She cheated Nath- I told you she wasn't good. Girls who actually care about you don't dress like hook-"
"Mum!! Stop!"
"I'm sorry. I got a bit carried away there." She went back to making breakfast.
"A bit?" Nathan took me out of the room. "Sorry about erm that."
"I can heeeaaar yooou." She sing songed.
"Well I wasn't exactly whispering!"
"Wow Mr. Sassy Pants." I winked at him and put my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist. I stood on my tip toes kissed him quicly and told him I was going to go get changed and freshen up. I locked myself in Nathans room and picked out an outfit. I put on my black tank top with white polka dots on it and a red flowy skirt that went almost to my knee. I came back out with my hair in a fishtail braid.
"Just in time! Breakfast is ready." Jess said as I turned the corner. She looked up. "Oh my I love your outfit!"
"Thanks I like yours!!" She was wearing a pair of white skinny jeans that had black and grey flowers on them with a lime green sequin off the shoulder t shirt.
"Why thank you." We headed over to the table. Breakfast fealt like an interview. It was just one question after another.
"So what are you two doing today?" Jess asked enthusiastically.
"I don't know. Would you like to go to town?" Nathan asked me.
"That sounds fun! I'm sorry if I'm a toal tourist though." I answered him giggling.
"Perfectly fine with me. When shall we set out?" He sounded so formal, got to love how brits talk.
"Soon?" I questioned.
"Sure!"
"Oh maybe tomorrow we could go out again but possibly bring Jess? I'd love to go shopping with her!" I looked at Jess.
"Why don't you two go tomorrow and get to know eachother?"
"I'd love too." Jess smiled at me.
"Well Kayla, you are by far the most amazing girl this boy has ever brought home and we're glad he found you!" His mom started clearing the table and Nathan helped her. I officially felt like me and Nathan were eachothers and no one could ever change that. But was I wrong?
