Bring It Back [DISCONTINUED]

TEN

Cathy's POV

Wednesday. The day I'm off work of being a diner waitress. It sucks that I graduated on a great course and ended up with this job.

It was boring at home so I went to the local mall. I parked my car and went straight to Tim Horton's. I ordered my favorite Iced Capp and a box of half a dozen of doughnuts to bring home. While waiting, I sat on a chair and took out my Harry Potter book. I'm a Potterhead if that isn't obvious.

"Cathy." The barista calls my name. I grabbed my drink and the box of donuts then sat again on the chair to continue reading my book. Once I finished a chapter and also my drink, I threw it on the trash and walked out of the place.

When I turned on the return corner wall, I accidentally bumped on someone; good thing his drink didn't spill and my donuts wasn't dropped. I placed my book and the donuts on the empty table beside us.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." I apologized.

"It's fine. I wasn't paying attention as well." The guy said, putting his drink on the table too and his phone back to his pocket.

The guy is tall, around 6 feet. He has brown hair matching his brown eyes, a cheek scar; his cheeks are blushing which I do find cute, and a beautiful smile. Then realization hits me hard I gasped.

"Wait, you're Shawn Mendes!" I whisper yell so no one would actually hear it except for him.

"Yes I am." He smiles wider. "You are?"

"I'm Cathy." I offered my hand and he gladly shakes it.

"Nice to meet you Cathy."

Throughout the whole day I was with him. We were both glad that there are only 5 fans who saw him and didn't seem to notice me at all. We talked about stuff about ourselves. Honestly, it felt like we're just talking like we've known each other for a long time. 

At the end of the day before we said goodbye, he asked for my number. And of course, I gave it to him.

"See you around Cathy." He waves before going in his car.

I too went in my car and drove back home. I arrived back to my shared dorm with my younger sister Cristine.

She looks at me as I entered the dorm and placed the doughnuts on the table. "What's with the smile on your face?" She asks.

"I brought home some donuts and I also had a good time."

"I do get that you brought home your favorite food but what happened at the boring old mall that made you that happy?" She raises an eyebrow as she smirks too.

"I met this guy," I smiled "and his name is Shawn Mendes."

Later that night, Shawn sent me a text.

Shawn: I had a fun time with you x

I rose up from my bed and replied back.

Cathy: I did too :)

Cathy: Meet up another time?

Shawn: Of course.

Shawn: I would love to see your smile again

I felt my heart flutter a bit when I read his message.

Me and Shawn continued on seeing each other a couple more times but nobody seems to have a problem with it. Shawn's manager, Andrew seems to be fine with Shawn seeing someone. His team was also happy about us.

After 3 months, we officially became a couple but no one knew it except only for our family. Even the bestest of our friends didn't know about it. Shawn didn't tell his team too.

As for me, Squad K should be the last one who will found that out. I'll be dead or worse, kicked out from the squad.

Another reason why we kept it a secret is that Shawn's scared and worried. He's scared of what might happen to me and worried for I might end up in the same situation his ex was.

But secret or not, I am still happy I found someone who makes me laugh, who makes the butterflies in my stomach get wild and someone who makes me feel I'm the most loved person in the world.

I'm glad I found Shawn Mendes and he became a part of my life.
