Chapter 2: The mysterious cliff

Axel's POV

The next morning, i wake up earlier than aunt Lydia and quickly take a shower. Ever since last night, that path keeps on haunting my mind nonstop.

I need to know what's beyond that path and I'm finding it out now. I don't want to wait any longer, the curiosity is killing me deeply.

Leaving the house through the back door, i clutch my phone tightly and head towards the path that have somehow enchant me ever since i saw it.

It feels like what lays beyond this path is calling me to it.

After a few minutes full of anxiety and fear, I finally end up at a very mysterious cliff. Well, more like creepy than mysterious but I cant keep my eyes off it.

Its like a woman when they have they have their eyes on the most beautiful diamond they have ever seen.

Both my head and heart keeps on screaming for me to take a peek at what lays beyond the edge. It feels as if my conscious was being pulled away from my body.

Its almost like I was enchanted or under some kind of spell because my legs move on its own, inching closer to the edge without any intentions of stopping.

My hand reach out to something beyond that edge but there's nothing there. I can see it clearly that nothing is there but my conscious, heart and brain keeps on yelling at me to reach out for it.

My body feels as light as a feathers while it falls down into the deep and dark abyss of the ocean. My lungs burns as if someone has light it on fire, my voice mute without any single sound coming out of my throat.

That's when I know, that's when i realize, I'm dying. I'm drowning and no one is here to help me while my body stays still, not once moving nor reacting to push myself up the surface.

Before my consciousness fade away, I saw the water splash around as if someone jumps in to save me. His body moves beautifully along the waves, reaching his hands out to me who's barely alive.

Whoever you are, 'i thank you, my hero'.

Stefan's POV

I can sense him, my mate is near. He's near.

I know my mate is a male because of the prophecy that has been told down to us mere-people that a descendent of Hoden which is me will be mated to a male mate that will save our kind before they disappear.

Alyana, the witch that had cursed us was envious of the beauty us mere-people inherited.

She cursed our existence away from this world but she noticed not the flaw of her own spell. We can be save and the curse can be lifted by a hybrid who's mated to one of the Hoden descendent.

I was proud to be chosen yet its saddening that my people will vanished, leaving me alone to wait for my one true mate to appear.

150 years have passed since then and finally today, he finally arrived. My mate, our savior.

I watched as the water splash violently but what attract my attention wasn't the waves disturbance but the beautiful boy that has fallen down into the water.

His features was angel like, his body sway around with the waves beautifully. His beauty caught me frozen in place that i almost forgot that my little mate was drowning.

His consciousness slowly fade as i made my way towards my beautiful mate. His beautiful face become more clear as I inch closer, my tail splash the water around with each stroke i made.

Reaching my hands out to him, his consciousness fade out, leaving a fade beating of his pulse as his heartbeats become weak.

Holding onto his neck, our lips connected with each other as I transfer some oxygen to keep him with me until we reach the mermaids cove.
