"Go, go before she leaves!" Yugyeom said, nearly pushing me out the classroom door to catch up to Hana.
My face flushed into a shade of red as I tried to approach her, helplessly watching her move farther away. The crowd of students made it worse as I tried to navigate with my backpack.
Yugyeom sighed beside me, and he suddenly stopped walking. He cupped his hands around his mouth, and I widened my eyes and covered my ears in anticipation.
"Hana-yah! Do you have a second?" he yelled out, attracting the eyes and turning the heads of everyone else in the hallway.
Hana finally turned around, her eyebrows scrunched in bewilderment as she looked at Yugyeom and me. She walked toward us with the same expression, and Yugyeom gave me a smirk. The rest of the students resumed their walking stride after his short distraction.
"Your time to talk," Yugyeom murmured right before Hana stopped in front of us. My ears glowed more once she reached us.
"What do you need, Yugyeom?" Hana asked, and he nudged his elbow into my side.
"Jungkook here needs to ask you a quick question," Yugyeom stated and glanced at me to start talking. Hana's eyes diverted from his face to mine, her eyebrow raised in slight surprise. I took in a breath before finally asking my question.
"Did you write this?" I asked, my voice in a higher pitch than what I wanted it to be. I held the piece of notepaper in front of me, and she took it from my hands and looked it over.
She shrugged her shoulders.
"Not me. Who's Ivy though?" she inquired, and her answer made me sigh in defeat.
"I don't know. Perhaps it is Seulgi," I said, running my hand through my hair. Yugyeom chuckled and said, "I guess we have to find her now."
"Too late," Hana said, "I bet she's already left for 학원."
"Shoot," Yugyeom muttered, and suddenly his face lit up again. I groaned internally at the next idea that might leave his mouth.
"Do you have any idea where Jia is?"
A/N: 학원 - "hag-won". It is a really common thing in Korea and other Asian countries where kids go to a private school after their regular teaching is over to learn more and prepare for their college exams. Lessons can last from 2-6 hours after school into the night (it is aka cram school).
