As I walked into English the following morning with Yugyeom beside me, I caught a glance at Jia.
Her black wavy hair covered her face as she looked at Hana, but once she turned forward her eyes were directed to me.
A small smile settled on her face and she gave me a wave.
I waved back, looking at the ground right after and followed my feet to my seat. Yugyeom nudged me as we sat down, and pulled out his notebook.
"Whatever Jimin told you to say must have worked," he whispered, and I chuckled.
"Of course. He can woo anyone," I replied, rolling my eyes.
"Are you mad that you can't?" he muttered, and I sighed, waiting for the teacher to turn back to face the board. Once he did, I aimed to hit Yugyeom on the side of his head, but he dodged, and my hand slammed into the wooden desk.
I took in a deep breath and quickly pulled my hand back to my desk as she turned around to face in our direction.
"What was that?"
"Uh, I-"
"There was a bug on the table and Jungkook tried to kill it but it was too fast and flew off the desk," Yugyeom interrupted, a straight expression plastered on his face.
"Okay, but next time there's no need to kill it, Jeongguk. Just let it fly on its own," she said, and I nodded and bowed my head at her.
"I understand," I said, loud enough for her to hear.
"Okay, then let's continue with our lesson," she said and turned back around to the board.
Yugyeom's muffled laughter made my face turn a brighter red than it was before, and I looked down at my throbbing hand, ready to curse at him.
All the sudden, Yugyeom's chuckling got louder and I stared at him, my eyes narrowing.
What could possibly be so funny?
He finally met my eyes and I saw his finger pointing at something across from me. I followed the direction and the sight made me want to get up and walk straight out of class.
Your cheeks were tinted with red and your hand covered your mouth.
I could swear that I saw a small tear falling from the corner your smiling eyes as your shoulders moved to block my embarrassed stare.
You had seen everything.
