Luka's mum became Captain Hardrock. She was akumatized at some point and then the whole ship transformed. Luka and Juleka couldn't believe it was her. I went to stand closer to Luka as he said - "Mom, please, you can't ruin the music festival!"
He said it with such a painful expression... I couldn't bare to watch him like that, it hurt me to see him in such pain. I wanted to do something to make the sadness and desperation and fear in his once gentle and happy eyes disappear, but the only thing I could do was stand next to him and stand up for him. Well, anything's better than nothing! So I got closer to him and sait to his mum - "Yeah, you can't make people listen to your music!"
Someone shouted behind my back - "No way we're playing like this!" - it was Ivan. But I couldn't care less who it was. I was too busy looking at Luka's eyes, trying to find that spark they had up until now. Mentally slapping myself for not being able to help him.
Suddenly I was interrupted in my thoughts by yet another voice, this time from in front of me. It belonged to Captain Hardrock - "Mutiny? On my ship? Liberty, seize them and throw them down into the hold!"
In that moment, chains just flew on us out of nowhere! We were tied together and thrown into the area below the deck.
And I was locked with Luka.
When those chains flew on us, I was caught unprepared, but even more, when the chaines tied me to Luka, I kind of started freaking out. We were back to back and our arms were touching.
I was so captured by the moment that for an instant I forgot that we had a situation. Luckily, I had Tikki. She got me out of my mind and, when I was sure no one was watching, she unlocked the shackles. The chains fell to the ground and our hands broke the touch, for we both raised them to our face to be sure everything was all right. I glanced at Luka, but he already had his gaze fixated on me. His eyes were pure amazement.
"Wow! How did you do that?" - he looked at me with such a look in his eyes, with curiosity so sincere that, for the first time in a long while, I had a hard time lying about my identity. So I quickly glanced over myself in search fir something, and I found Luka's guitar pick.
"I... umm... I... with this!" - I said nervously, hoping he would buy it. I really don't know how would I even begin to explain a little red kwami... But no! What am I thinking!? I can't tell him about Tikki under any circumstances! Why did that even cross my mind!?
"You're amazing, a real magician, Marinette!" - his words once again brought me back to reality. He stood up and put out his hand to help me stand up.
I took it.
He pulled me up and while doing that looked at me with so much affection that I've never see anyone have in their eyes while looking at anything or anyone!
My heart stopped for a while.
And then started beating with unimaginable speed.
I put my hand on his shoulder, while still holding his hand with my other one. I looked away for a moment, too nervous to look into his eyes. And I said - "You think so? Oh, it was nothing..." - I then realised what he said. Amazing? He thinks I'm amazing!? I felt my cheeks go completely red. No one ever told me that, not that straightforward...
Not someone I wished to think that way.
Somehow my nervousness was gone under the influence of my gratitude and happiness. I turned myself to him, leaned in a bit and said - "A-am, amazing, really?"
And somehow, maybe just in my head, it seemed like he leaned in too.
"Excuse me, but some of us are still chained up here, you know?" - Alya interrupted us. I knew she was right, but I just couldn't stop myself from being angry at her. We parted momentarily and i looked at others with as embarrassed look as I was feeling. I caught Luka's reaction, though... it was quite different. He looked surprised they were still there, as if he had completely forgot anything but us in this past few minutes.
And it made me feel strangely warm around my heart.
Suddenly, we heard a noise. Alya was the one to verbalize the warning - "Marinette, she's coming!"
I looked at Luka to make sure we were thinking the same thing and said to others - "We'll come back, I promise!"
Luka and I ran to the cabin next to the one we were locked in.
Luka looked arount for a second and then told me to hide in the drawer in the bed while he opened the window-
Tge doors opened.
"Run, Marinette, quick!" - Luka shouted out of the window. Distraction.
"Seize him!" - Captain Hardrock yelled and pointed her sword at Luka. Chaines flew at him amd he was her prisoner again.
Then I heard her say - "She won't get very far." - so I assumed that she looked out of the window.
I got out of the drawer - "Phew, that was close!"
"Tikki, I have to save my friends!" - I have to save Luka - "Tikki, spots on! Yeah!"

When I got out on the deck I saw Chat was already there.
"Any idea where the akuma is?" - he asked me.
I was thinking for a moment - "It's got to be on the ship somewhere!"
"In that case, cataclysam will settle this." - Chat said quickly.
My heart stopped for a moment. Luka is still down there! I mean, the others! The others are still down there! - "Wait! There are prisoners down in the hold, if you sink this boat, they might drown!"
He looked me in confusion so I explained to him what we should do instead - "We've gotta stop this ship!"
Chat Noir tried to rip the sails and I tried to move the helm, but nothing.
"Liberty answers only to me, seize!" - we heard Captain Hardrock say and I quickly entered the closest cabin while Chat went to confront her.
"Oh, Ladybug!" - Alya was visibly happy I was here. I unchained all of them and went to Luka to see if he was ok.
"Ladybug, is Marinette ok?" - he said to me the moment we interacted. He was so sweet! Worrying about me!
"She's safe, she's the one who alerted me." - I assured him.
He looked up and said something I would have never expected - "That girl's unbeliavably brave..."
I blushed so hard I was just waiting for him to notice and put the dots together. Luckily, he kept staring at nothing in particular, and the fact he was probably thinking of me made me blush even harder.
Then I snapped back and remembered the akuma. I needed my lucky charm and I needed to find a way to get all of them to safety.
"Lucky charm!" - I shouted and stared at what i got in confusion - "Huh, another chain? Some wires would've come in more handy... Don't worry, guys, I'll find a way to get you out!"
I'll find a way to get you out safe, everyone.
I'll find a way to get you out safe, Luka.
