Chapter 7:
__________________________________________________________
Scarlett let out yet another frustrating sigh. Of course her mind-blowing plan of escaping through the window seal turned out such a fail but also that quick dash to the lift proved just a little more exercise for Ryan and nothing else. Ryan met her at the ground floor when the lift opened up their as she set it to, it was a lame attempt she knew but she was hoping he really wasn’t that fast or she really wasn’t that dumb.
“You are an idiot.” Ryan answered her thoughts and she ignored his quirky comments, not bothering to retort back.
She was back to square one, once again in his arms as he refused to let her walk saying she would just try a futile attempt of escaping again. So she wound up her arms around Ryan’s neck and thought to herself about getting out of this mess. Her mess. Certainly police must have been informed; her parents would be concern by now. She would just have to try a little harder to get to some sort of help or rescuer. If only she could get hold of a cellphone or something. May be than she could get this mess sorted out, for she knew one thing which was relieving that no matter what Ryan or his gang was not after her life. Well the other gang members surely not, Ryan was a whole other thing. He must have even possibly dug a hovel to stash up her dead body.
She wasn’t particularly afraid but just merely wary of him because may be it has been just last three days but she could tell the guy wasn’t all the scary façade he showcased to be. With that thought, she peaked shyly through her eyelashes and looked at him up close. She studied all intricate features of his face. His chiseled jaw, the perfect-shaped lips, the perfection continued to his straight nose, high cheekbones, and all the way over to his aqua blue-green eyes. With his personality his looks obliged, his lips curling up in a smile could make you swoon and forming a frown could make you defiant. His eyes could keep you prisoner for a lifetime and at the same time make you wonder if there’s some darkness you see deep within him.
Scarlett felt stupid but she couldn’t stop admiring his looks, she wasn’t naïve to fall for someone’s look but nonetheless it had an inevitable effect on her. She remembered what she felt when she had seen John- his friend. John seemed a safe terrain now, while Ryan…he wasn’t the sort to introduce to your friends, rather the sorts who should keep hidden so that your friends don’t end up envying you. Wasn’t even the sort to meet your parent, because they would warn you off him.Just the sorts ….which made you fall in love madly, making everything else seem so worthless. He wasn’t the sort who could be called as right but the sorts who were indeed terribly wrong but you would strive to make them right.
Trying to keep her thoughts from wandering away, Scarlett forced her mind to something not as gorgeous as the man holding her in his arms. Luckily she realized they were close to his apartment now. On reaching the apartment, Ryan entered the already wide open door which must have been kept unbolted in his haste to chase her. Setting her down, Ryan turned and hastily bolted the door and not sparing any glance to her…neared the window and locked it too.Securing all the possible exits for the house, hands firmly positioned on his hips he finally looked at her.
“Now lis…..” Scarlett couldn’t stop giggling and thus interrupting his little speech.
“Wha…and what’s so funny?”
