"I think of you whenever I'm alone,"

__________

Adeline's POV:

I stare at them. The people who tortured me, beat me, left me in the dark for so long, the one's that kept me from the world. An anger so powerful forces me to spat at the Owners.

"What do you want, why are you here?!" I bellow.

"Little Addie, did you really think that you'd be able to escape us that easily?" She laughs, the Owner named Stella jokes. I never knew her name until now, and this new found information doesn't change anything.

"This is what you get, for being drunk. This is what you wrote," The male, the one who claims to know Cole, pulls out the exact piece of paper with my handwriting on it from his pocket.

"What do you want?!" I shout this time.

"You escaped once, this time we won't do so much as slip up, for we've made some new improvements," Mason sinisterly states.

"Expensive one's," Stella adds.

They both start inching towards me, their eyes both set on me, not leaving or averting to any other place but me and my figure.

I can't think of anything else to do but run, and that's what I do. I bolt up the stairs, not turning back because I know they're right behind me. This statement is put to proof because just as my foot barely touches the last step, I'm snatched backwards strongly, my rigid back cracking.

I involuntarily let out a piercing scream, one that even hurts my own ears. I thrash in Mason's arms, but he restrains me, just like he did years in the past. Those memories come flooding back to me, and I burst with tears, screaming and begging them to let me go, but they don't.

They don't care, they never did.

"Why are you doing this?!" I scream in agony. Mason places a rough, calloused hand on my neck, one sure to leave bruises. He leans close, his fake façade he put on in front of Cole gone, as if he had two separate personalities.

His breath travels down my neck, leaving goose bumps in its path. "Let's just say," he pauses and glances over to Stella for an unknown reason, "I made a deal long ago, and I don't plan on breaking it."

The last word slips off his lip, and I can feel his thumb press down onto the skin on my shoulder and neck, my pressure point. I start to see black spots, everywhere, as if they were bees inside a beehive. It isn't long until I'm consumed into complete oblivion.

Super short chapter I'm sorry, I might rewrite it because I'm not satisfied with it, but we'll see! Hope you've enjoyed!
