Ryan's P.O.V:

Before the end of break, we exchanged numbers so we could keep in touch. We skipped to class, still holding hands, which I'm sure we both regret. "Hey fellas!" Josh said, with a smug grin on his face. "What've you done now?" I said, putting my hands in my hips. Baz whispered in my ear, "Don't seduce me here, love," He continued, his breath tickling my ear. "But I'm sure I can wait till lunch.". I laughed, but my smile soon dropped as I approached Josh. "So, what were you up to at break?" He asked. "I was with Baz." I replied. "Where?" A hint of impatience in his voice. "At the lunch hall." I lied. He looked at me like I was mad, then showed me what was in his phone. My heart dropped. It was a picture of me and Baz. Kissing. I looked back at Baz with a worried face, and he came over. His face went red, as he tried to grab the phone. "That's our business, not yours!" He exclaimed. He lunged at Josh, but I put my arms round his waist, and he calmed down instantly. "Breathe." I said. We glared at him, and before we knew it, we were now officially discovered by the whole school all at once. "Oops! My finger slipped!" Josh cackle sarcastically as he pressed send, and the photo was sent to every student in the school. People around us in the corridor looked at their phones confused, then their eyes widened. And then looked over at us. I felt Baz's tears drip down into my hands, and I turned to face him. "Don't believe him? Here!" And with that, I gently kissed him on the lips, careful not to deepen it. People stared open-mouthed, some disgusted, some smiling. I stopped, the only thing connecting us was our arms and the string of saliva. Baz smiled, blushing lightly. He gave me a hug, showing his gratitude. We'd only known each other for two hours but we were obsessed with each other. Josh stared in disbelief, and walked over to us, his phone to his ear. "Yeah, Aleshya? You'll never guess what your so-called boyfriend has done. Yeah I'll see you here." He hung up, his grin forming again. "Why?" I questioned, fear and annoyance in my tone. Aleshya and Miss Johnson appeared all at once, and Aleshya came over and pushed us over. "WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE ME FOR THAT SLUT?!" She screamed, spitting on us. Miss Johnson watched in horror, and called us all into class. English was a nightmare. People laughing and whispering, some throwing pieces of paper at us. "I can't take much more of this." Baz sighed. "Hey," I said whilst putting an arm over him, "We'll get past this. I promise." I grabbed his hand gently, and held it. "Hey gay boys! Quit it!" Josh cried out from the back of the classroom. The teacher scolded him, but gave him only that consequence. At lunch, we bought some good and took it to my secret hideout that Baz was yet to discover. An abandoned cleaner's cupboard. "I know it's not much, but-" I was interrupted. "I love it." Baz whispered, turning to face me. "It's amazing.". The small space has fairy lights, some things I'd found at home to go on the shelves, and a photo of my mother. Baz saw this and picked up. "Who's this?" He said cautiously. "My mother." I mumbled. It seems he got the message, because he gave me a hug. Tears fell down my face, damping both our uniforms. "Let's eat, yeah?" I nodded and we spent our lunchtime there. As we were walking back to class, the long way, Baz asked, "I never got to know why you have those bruises. Can you tell me?" I nodded slightly, and muttered. "My Dad, he- hits me sometimes." Baz grabbed my arm, and I faced him. "Ryan. You need to tell someone." He said. "I've tried. People think I'm lying. IT'S NOT FAIR!" I screamed, bursting into tears. Suddenly, I felt as if I couldn't breathe. My vision went blurry, my knees like jelly. "Baz-" I fell to the floor, and lost consciousness.

Baz's P.O.V:

Suddenly, Ryan fell to the floor. "Ryan! Somebody help, please!" I cried as teachers rushed over, trying to carry him. "N-No!" I whispered and picked him up bridal style. The teacher's watched in disbelief as I  carried him all the way to the school nurse. I lay him gently on the bed, pulled up a chair and sat next to him, our hands interlinked. We were today for the rest of the day, for so long in fact, that my mother came in. We sat there for what seemed like hours, when his eyes fluttered open, revealing his gorgeous brown eyes...
