"Mommy, can I talk to you?" I said walking into her office. She was sitting at her computer, probably playing a game, instead of doing what she was supposed to.

"Yeah, sit down."

After sitting down, I waited until her attention was on me to begin talking. "I think Trey Songz has a crush on me." I said. He looked at me as if she didn't believe me. "Really mommy, we're just friends, but this morning he left a bouquet of anemones on Lauren's desk for me. How did he even know that I liked anemones?"

"I told him. He came to me, and asked for my help, and I helped him out. I just think you should give him a chance. not all guys are like Andre, you know?"

When mommy mentioned that name, it was like all the pain that he caused me was coming back. "Mommy, don't bring up Andre. We're not together anymore, and we never will get back together."

"I'm just saying. I don't think Trey is anything like him."

"Well, I'm not going to find out." I said standing up to leave. I walked back to my office, only to realize that it was time for my lunch break. I wanted to just skip lunch today, but I needed to talk to Trey. Luckily, I had his number in my phone.

Gia: Can you meet me here in 10 minutes?

Trey: Yeah. I'm on my way.

I went downstairs to the lobby, and sat down on a couch that was there, waiting on Trey.

When he finally came, we just sat and talked.

"Did my mommy tell you about Andre?" I asked.

"She mentioned him. Who is he?"

I wanted to just say that he was an ex, but he was more than that. Andre was the one who I thought I was going to marry. Andre was my everything. He was also the one who made me the way that I am.

"Just an ex." I lied.

After lunch was over, Trey left and I went back upstairs to my office. I sat down at my desk and began reading letters. I had been slacking lately, and I really needed to catch up.

After work, I went home and and started looking for a house. I was only living in this apartment temporarily, and although it has only been a few months, I was ready to find a home.

Lauren and I had been talking about becoming roomates, since she lived in a small apartment as well. And Lauren's older sister is a real estate agent, and I knew she would help us find a decent home.

I sent Lauren a picture of a small house that I seen.

Gia: I really like this one. It's pretty right? And it has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Lauren: Yeah, that's cute or whatever, but I was thinking something more like this.

Lauren sent me a picture of a huge mansion.

Gia: If you can afford that, then lets buy it. But my paycheck has never been high enough to even make a down payment on that.

Lauren: Mine either :(

Gia: Since both of us are off tomorrow, can we go do something? I'm tired of sitting in this lonely apartment by myself.
