Part 12. Purrincess

"You're not Ladybug!" I heard the akuma growl when he got a good look at Alya, who was cornered in an alley. "Looking for someone?!" I called out from my perch on the roof. He hissed and turned his attention to me, allowing Alya to escape. I spun my yo-yo and used it as a shield while I jumped and dodged the rocks he threw at me. "Matinette!" A familiar voice made me lose my focus. Luka was wandering around, looking for me. "Marinette?!" The akuma took advantage of the distraction, and threw a large stone cuff at my wrists, pinning both my hands together against the chimeny wall.

"Crap!" I hissed. I struggled uselessly in place. "Like taking candy from a baby!" A sharp smile crossed his face as he hovered over and reached for my earrings. I clenched my eyes shut as I waited for the inevitable. "Hey!!" Another shout made me glance down. "Leave her alone!" Luka screamed and threw a rock at the akuma, hitting him in the face and causing him to stagger. "Now!!" He screamed just as Cat Noir jumped over the building. "Cataclysm!" He shouted as he pressed his hand to the stone cuff, destroying it.

"Noo!" The akuma hissed as I was freed from my prison. "Catch M'lady!" Cat shouted as he swung his baton and knocked the akuma' s hat off his head. I caught it and stomped on it, releasing the akuma. "No more evil doing for you little akuma!" I shouted as I pressed the center of my yo-yo. "Time to de-evilize!" I spun my yo-yo and aimed it towards the akuma. "Gotcha!" I shouted when I caught and purified it. "Miraculous ladybug!" I shouted as I tossed my jack in the air. A horde of ladybugs swarmed the city, restoring everything.

"Pound it!" I extended my fist enthusiastically. Cat didn't reciprocate. Instead, he crumbled to his knees, clutching his sides. "Aggh..." he hissed in pain. "Cat! What's wrong?!" I asked anxiously as I knelt by his side. He was doubled over in pain. "I'm fine, Aah!" He hissed again just as his ring began to beep.

"Cat, please let me help you" I urged as I helped him up. "I'm fine bugaboo, see you around" he said with a weary smile, just before vaulting out of sight. "Ladybug! Have you seen Marinette?" Luka shouted from the ground. "Y-yea, she's fine. She's hiding, I'll go get her now!" I shouted back. He smiled and nodded. "Bug out!" I waved goodbye just before swinging around the back of the building and releasing my transformation. Tikki deflated into my hands, completely worn out. I placed her gently in my purse where she grabbed the nearest cookie. "Thank you Tikki, get some rest" I said with a smile.

"Marinette!" Luka waved me down when I turned the corner. "H-hey" I stuttered as I met up with him. "I was really worried. Are you okay?" He asked anxiously. I nodded shyly. "Y-yea, Ladybug made me hide until the danger was gone..." I lied smoothly. "Well, I'm glad you're safe. Do you wanna go back to the ship?" I shook my head wearily. "I kinda wanna check on my parents..." I trailed off softly. "Let me walk you home" he said with a crooked smile. I nodded as we began walking in silence.

After 10mins, we were almost at the bakery, when we passed an alley. "Wait..." I stopped in my tracks when I noticed something through the corner of my eye. "What's wrong?" Luka asked me curiously. "I thought I saw something just now, in the alley..." I said as I glanced back. "I'm gonna go take a quick look!" I said as I turned around without hesitation. "Marinette, wait up!" Luka called behind me, but I didn't hear him. My heart sank to my ankles when I laid eyes on him.

His white shirt was dirty and his blond hair was messy. He was curled up on the floor. "Adrien?!!" I shouted as I ran to his side. His eyes were clenched shut and his face was sweaty and pale. "Help!! Somebody help!!" I screamed as I crouched next to him. He was gripping his sides tightly. "M-M-marinette?" He asked shakily. He opened his eyes slightly. They were weary and pained. "Adrien?" Luka' s voice made me turn. "Call an ambulance!" I shouted anxiously. Luka gave me a quick nodd and took out his phone.

"Adrien, hang in there, we're gonna get you help!" He smiled weakly, just before coughing up a small amount of blood. "Adrien!" My eyes watered with worry. He shot me a weary smile. "T-t-thank you, purrincess..." he uttered just before closing his eyes and losing consciousness. "Adrien? Adrien??!!" I screamed hysterically just as the paramedics arrived. Luka held onto my shoulders as he was lifted onto the stretcher then loaded into the ambulance. Tears streamed down my face as they turned on the siren, and drove away.
