My face turned crimson and my heart nearly jumped out of my chest as Ladybug took my face and crushed her lips against mine. My surprised eyes closed heavily and my mouth watered as her sweet scent engulfed me. She smelled like cookies and her lip gloss tasted like strawberry. I placed my hand on her face gently and deepened the kiss. My mind raced with a million questions, a million emotions but I didn't ask. This was the moment I had been dreaming of for so long and I wasn't going to let it slip through my fingers, yet somehow...there was something familiar about her kiss.

We kissed for what seemed like an eternity, until eventually, we had to pull away to breathe. I rested my forehead against hers as we both panted softly. Her face turned red when the reality of her actions dawned on her. She jumped off the tiny bench, a blushing, stammering mess. "I-I'm sorry I-I shouldn't h-have, I...!" She covered her mouth with her hands. I stood up too, attempting to calm her.

"M'lady calm down, it's fine. You don't have to commit to anything it's..." I didn't get to finish my sentence, Ladybug took off towards the other room and opened the window. "Ladybug wait!" I shouted as I ran after her, but it was too late. She threw her yo-yo out the window and swung out of the hotel. "Damn it!!" I hissed as I extended my baton and vaulted off after her.

The night air hit me like a ton of bricks. It was a cold night, especially for autumn. I sprinted as fast as I could, but I was losing her. "Stupid suit!" I growled as I took off the tie and jacket. I leaped over the school and picked up speed on all fours. She was leading me on a wild goose chase. "Ladybug!" I shouted as I gained on her. She tried to shake me by swinging around the Louvre, but it didn't work. I sprinted right at her heels. "Please Ladybug, let's talk about this!" I shouted as I lost my footing and tripped. My heart sank as she swung farther away.

"No, I won't let it end like this!" I hissed as I regained my composure and vaulted off towards her again. I lost sight of her around the bakery. I landed on the familiar terrace lightly, so I wouldn't wake any of the occupants. "Where did she go...?" I asked myself as I glanced around the balcony. I leaned against the wi-fi tower as I let out a long and exasperated sigh. "Why Ladybug? Why would you go and do something like that, then disappear...?" I thought angrily to myself as I tapped my head against the wall.

After an uncountable amount of time, I made my way reluctantly towards the railing, ready to give up for the night. My ear twitched when I picked up a soft, yet subtle sound. I walked over to the other side of the wi-fi tower. My heart sank in my chest when I laid eyes on her.

Ladybug was curled up, her face buried in her knees and her arms wrapped around her legs. Soft, gurgled sobs eminated from her. "M'lady..." I uttered as I crouched beside her. Her shoulders tensed when she heard my voice. "G-go away Cat..." She stammered without raising her head. "Look at me, please..." I begged softly. "P-please leave..." She urged again without looking up.

"No, I won't leave. Not until we clear this up..." I said sternly. "There's nothing to clear up..." She muttered, her face still in her knees. I furrowed my brows angrily. "Why did you kiss me? We can start by addressing that" I retorted. "I...I don't know..." She whispered. I swallowed forcibly. "No, I won't take that as an answer. I'm tired of you avoiding the subject anytime it comes up!" I said a bit louder than needed. "Please Cat, you really need to leave..." She whispered again.

"Why, what are you hiding?" I asked suspiciously. She didn't reply. "Ladybug, please don't do this to me. You know how I feel about you, why can't we just--" "BECAUSE YOU WON'T LIKE ME!!" She interrupted. I stared at her, completely confused. "This girl, the one you fell in love with, she's not real..." She whispered. "Im not confident, or graceful. I stutter alot and I'm super clumsy. You're not in love with me, you're in love with the idea of me..." I furrowed my brows at her.

"You're crazy. No matter what you say, I'll love you regardless of who you are beneath the mask, now please look at me..." I whispered as I reached out my hand. She lifted up her hand and entangled her fingers with mine. "Close your eyes..." She whispered I complied, hesitantly. For the second time that night, she leaned in and pressed her lips against mine. The shock caused my eyes to shoot open, allowing me to see her face for the very first time...
