Elliot: The Princess and the Pea(ndants)

Man! this all was extremely cool, scary, and exciting all at once! First off, we got to know each other's names, we got some explanation on where we are, and explanation on why we are here. There was just one last question that kept popping up in my mind.

"What are these pendants?" I asked breaking the silence of everyone's processing. "You said these pendants hold power... But like what exactly are they and what do they do...?"

The princess paused and then stood slowly. "To answer that question, I think it would be easier to show you their story. Why don't you all follow me?"

We all slowly got up and followed her out of the room we were just in. We walked down a long hall and slowly climbed some stairs. We then went down a hall with large windows. You could see the Kingdom of Cameria out of them. It was beautiful and shined a white gold. There was a large bubble-like dome around it all. The sky was blurry through the dome and the color shifted through the rainbow. Looking back at the kingdom you could make out people like tiny ants. It honestly looked like some utopian future or like something you'd see for an alien planet in a superhero movie.

"Elliot." I looked up to see Adria call my name to keep me moving towards the story room. I couldn't be the only one that thought the sight seemed so surreal, could I?

I quickly picked up my speed and caught up with the others. The Princess had led us down a hall to a room with a large screen. "Go ahead and take a seat." She moved to the desk that was behind the twelve or so seats that sat in from of the screen.

Once we were all seated the room dimmed and the screen flashed on. Two jewelry pieces appeared on screen. "At the begin there were two jewelry pieces created by the gods. The Pendant of Disorder and the Pendant of Order."

Next, two silhouettes of a person came on screen. One female and one male. "Twins were chosen to own the great pendants. They were taught by the god how to combine their powers to create new pedants which possess the powers they so desire them to possess."

The screen then changed to show four pendants. Each one was one that Wayne, Abigail, Adria, and I were wearing. "The twins first created a pendant out of the Elements that held their world together." The one Abigail was wearing appeared on screen. "Fire." Then the one Wayne was wearing, "Water." Next was Adria's. "Earth." Lastly, was mine. "Air."

The screen changed to a picture of four heroic silhouettes with the pendants glowing their respective color. "These Four pedants were assigned to Four great heroes chosen from each kingdom. And they became the great protectors of our world."

It then turned back to the twins appearing like they were crafting. "The twins continued to craft and create great pendants for the kingdoms to help with their tasks. Eventually they created the great Kingdom of Cameria to rule them all... but," The screen changed to show the two twins fighting. "The twins began to see different visions. The Pedant of Order could travel to different realms and the holder of the Pendant of Disorder believed that they should spread their rule to others. This caused for chaos within the world." A war like scene appeared. "A war broke out and with the help of the Four Elemental Heroes," Images of the heroes fighting the holder of the Pendant of Disorder with super cool powers began to appear on screen, "The holder of the Pendant of Order was able to finish the holder of the Pendant of Disorder, but sadly the Pendant of Disorder was lost and so were the Heroes." The picture showed an image of the holder of the Pendant of Order holding the Elemental Pendants.

"The Pedant of Disorder has been lost for centuries. That is," The screen faded and the lights slowly came back on, "Until recently." I looked back and up at the Princess. She clung on to the pendant around her neck. It was obvious that she was the holder of the Pendant of Order. "The darkness that has come over my people is the Pendant of Disorder. Strong and over taking all the other Pendants that had been created. But, now with the Elemental Heroes I believe we stand a chance against this darkness."

"So, the pendants are the magic in your world?" Adria asked.

The Princess gave a small nod. "yes."

"And the Elemental Heroes died?" Adria seemed a bit monotone in her words.

The princess hesitated. "N-Not exactly. They disappeared after battle. Some say they went to a different world or maybe vanished to be called upon the next time they are needed. No one is sure where they were... But I do believe you four are the Elemental Heroes."

"What were the creatures?" Abigail asked instantly after the Princess finished speaking.

The Princess seemed taken a back. The other three seemed just as curious. I had no clue what creature she was even taking about. "What ... Creatures?" The Princess asked.

Abigail sighed. "never mind." The other two seemed just as disappointed.

"I guess we don't have much of a choice, but to-" Wayne had started to talk when there was a sudden boom outside.

No. It wasn't just a boom the whole castle shook. I literally fell forward out of my seat onto the floor. When I looked around I wasn't the only one knocked out of my chair. Outside we could hear the screaming of people.

"What was that?" Abigail asked just before it happened again.
