cœur à la dérive, (drifting heart)
i pray you hear me
i pray you see me
i pray you listen,
and bring me peace
cœur brisé, (broken heart)
i hear your cry
i see your suffering
i am listening,
but still i struggle
cœur blessé, (wounded heart)
i cannot stand the tears
i cannot stand to look
i cannot stand the sound
of your grief
cœur douloureux, (aching/hurt heart)
i hope you hear my voice
i hope you see my face
i hope you listen
and move on
oh, heart
when you hear the voice
and see the face
and listen to
the song that is being sung
understand,
it is love
mais non partagé
(but unrequited)
au cœur de moi (in my heart)
i feel such torment
but i need to realize
that i must move on
the saying is,
'if you love something
set it free'
yet how can i set it free
when all i do is cling
cling to the hopeless desires
and endless wishes
and useless prayers
thrown out to the sky
and the stars above
hoping this love will be returned
wishing this love will be true
praying this love will bloom
but it hasn't even begun to bud
oh,
au cœur de moi
je suis brisé
(in my heart
i am broken)
