due to being seconds
(well, minutes)
later
second best, second hand,
off handed comments and remarks
mark my thoughts
i thought i was better
better try again
again i fall behind
always a step behind
because i was walking in your shadow
never forging my own path
merely replicating yours
such a shame that a life was wasted
duplicating the life of another
and still managed to fail at every step
guess that's what happens
when you come
