a place where we post,
and where we spend their time most,
perhaps just a minimum of a few hrs a day,
there's nothing much you can say,
to deny this fact,
that social media often distract,
our attention and priorities,
from our reality.
some of us,
are making a huge fuss,
about the amount of likes each post gets,
whether or not it perfectly fits,
your so called Instagram theme,
whereby VSCO makes your photos look like a dream,
taking pictures of everything you don't eat,
posting it online to show your followers what you call a treat,
but really, we all know that you're starving behind the scenes,
dying to just fit into that 22 inch jeans,
you may be able to play the world and everyone in your school,
but it's you that you can't fool.
social medias,
a perfect place to mask the obvious,
as most pages are just a tale,
where people are living the perfect lie to follow another's trail,
to have so much impact and influence on some,
it's hard for them to even overcome,
their habits of spending half their days on their phones,
scrolling through all sorts of social media alone,
Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and Pinterest,
just to name a few of your interest.
It has come to this generation,
where social media has our lives in alteration,
Instagram,
where all you post is glam,
a place to show the world your best,
and how your life is blessed,
Snapchat,
where your location is shared at,
24 hour lasting post,
where your selfies are sent the most,
as you hide behind a filter,
they'd say you'll look prettier,
choose another voice and sound like a squeaker,
perhaps you could have streaks with a random stranger,
Twitter,
where things get bitter,
a place to post all your feelings throughout the day,
as your tempers fray,
Pinterest,
a place to find your interest,
where all your outfits ideas are inspired,
to be admired,
Tumblr,
a place for grumblers,
oh those 3am thoughts,
and all things you've fought.

Social media is not all bad, as there is the pros and cons of everything. It is a platform where our thoughts, life and talents are shared either among friends and family or to the world.
