During the week before the Final Exams, Akko studied really hard to pass all of her classes, so she won't have to repeat any next semester. Other students, including the school newspaper club, tried to asked her about the party at the Hanbridge's mansion on so many occasions, but Akko could not spare her time to deal with anything other than studying. They looked at her weird since Akko usually did not care much about academic. Miss Kagari certainly changed a lot. She still struggled, but she was determined.

In the magic history classroom, the professor was giving a lecture...

"...and thus why there are no more wizards in existence since then and to the present days. Even Morrigan herself was unable to remove the curse. Another theory by Eleanor Cavendish stated that the curse is just a temporary effect and could be removed by a more powerful restoration magic. However, this spell has not yet been discovered."

Akko raised her hands.

"Yes, Miss Kagari?" The processes adjusted her glasses.

She looked up and asked, "Will this be in the exam?"

"Perhaps..."

Akko looked back at her notepad and continued to take notes. The other students looked at her in weird. They were still not used to the hardworking Akko.

Akko studied every night before going to bed. She read the chapters from the books and practiced using spells, and she and Lotte even quizzed each other to prepare for the exams. When Amanda invited her to see a new movie or play games, she declined. "Sorry. I have to study," was her respond every time someone invited her for something or asked her about things irrelevant to school. During the Finals Week, Akko was determined to pass all the exams.

...

During the restoration magic exam, the professor called the student to demonstrate their white magic one by one in front of the class.

"Miss Diana Cavendish," the professors called. Diana walked up to her and readied her wand. In front of her was a glass on the table. "Augendae Custodiae," she casted a spell on it. A white light glowed around the glass and disappeared. Everyone else were anticipated to see what happens next.

The professor stepped forward, grabbed the glass, and threw it on the floor. Diana looked confident. The glass was still intact. The professor lifted it from floor and used her magnifying glass to inspect it, "No signs of any cracks or fractures. A perfect protection, Miss Cavendish! You passed with an A+!" The students clapped and cheered for her. "Diana is the best!!" a girl shouted in the background.

The professor cleared her throat, "Ahem! Miss Atsuko Kagari, you're up next!" The students stopped their cheers and turned their eyes to her. Akko walked up to the front and traded spot with Diana. She took a deep breath and casted a spell on the glass, "Augendae Custodiae!" White light glowed around the glass and disappeared. Akko gulped. The professor took the glass and threw it on the floor. Akko closed her eyes, not wanting to see it shattered before her and everyone else.

There was silence. She peaked with her left eyes and saw that the glass was still intact. "A solid B!" declared the professor. Akko opened her eyes fully, "Pardon?" The professor set the glass on the table and said, "There were some small fractures, but the you didn't break the glass. You passed with a solid B, Miss Kagari!"

Akko blinked. She couldn't believe what she just heard. Finally, the spell didn't fail her. The other students murmured as they witness Atsuko Kagari not messing up. For them, it was a strange phenomenon.

...

In the potion laboratory, Akko was reading the instruction from the manual very carefully and followed it step by step. She finished adding her final ingredient inside the pot and carefully stirred its content, counter clock wise in a slow fashion thrice.
