The three witches and two Appleton boys left the shop and walked along the sidewalks. Sunlight shined behind thin clouds in the sky. It was a pretty nice weather, not too windy nor too cold.
"I really want to properly thank you, Andrew!" Akko beamed happily, "So, what do you want? I'll buy you anything (within my budget)!"
"I don't really want anything, Miss Kagari." Andrew's sweat dropped.
"Come on, don't be daft! There must be something you want!" Akko pouted. She would not stop bothering him about it. She probably won't stop asking until he give her an answer.
Andrew signed, "Alright. I want that." He pointed somewhere. She looked at that direction, and there was an ice cream cart.
"Ice cream?" Akko lifted her eye brow, "I meant something worth more as a present!"
"You asked me what I wanted, and that is my answer," he replied coldly.
Akko huffed angrily, "That's not fair! You gave me a familiar owl. I can't just give you ice cream!"
Sucy asked Lotte, "Why is there an ice cream truck at this time of the year?" Lotte shrugged.
Andrew frowned, "Fine. That then." He pointed at a tea shop nearby, "A cup of tea would be nice."
Akko furrowed her brows and whined, "You're making fun of me because I'm poor!"
Andrew lifted his eye brow, "No, I'm not... I really want tea." He walked to the shop and entered. Akko followed and entered behind, "Wait, let me pay for it!"
Lotte and Frank was about to enter the shop but was stopped by Sucy's hands tapping on their shoulders. They turned their face to her. "Let's bail," Sucy said with her usual tone. Lotte and Frank looked at each other and back at her. They smiled and nodded.
...
Inside the shop, Andrew walked to an empty table and sat down on the chair. Akko sat down in the chair opposite from him. "Don't just walk off like that!" she shouted at him.
"I never agreed to hang out with you witches in the first place. Frank never told me about this," he said with a calm face.
"Well, you bought me an owl. I can't just let you go without giving you something in return!"
A waitress walked to their table and handed them menu, "Welcome to Abby's Tea Shop. What would you like to start with today?"
"A cup of black tea please," said Andrew. Akko looked at the menu and thought for a second and said, "Chai for me please. Oh and this cake!" she pointed at the picture while smiling in anticipation of the sugary dessert.
The waitress wrote on her notepad."Good choice! I'll be back with your order shortly. If you need anything else, just let me know!" she picked up the menu and left.
Andrew continued his conversation with Akko, "Like I said. It was a gift. I don't want anything in return."
"Can't I give you a Christmas present, too?" Akko asked in sarcastic tone.
"Well..." Andrew looked out the window, "I don't mind, but I won't ask for anything."
Akko put her elbows on the table and rested her chin on her hands. She narrowed her eyes and said, "Alright, Lord Hanbridge. You want to play game? I'll play a game. What's your favorite colour?"
Andrew lifted his eyebrow in confusion at her unusual tone. He glanced at her, "Pardon?"
"What's your favorite colour?" she repeated.
