A Dark Love Story

Chapter 12

The time had arrived for Alexander to meet Daisy's inside crew. They would all be coming into town Friday evening and leave sometime on Saturday. Friday would be spent catching them up to date and trading information while Saturday would consist of another search in the woods.

....

"Mom, Dad. I have some friends of Daisy's coming over later tonight. I just wanted to double check that it is okay with you."

"As long as you kids aren't too noisy or are up to anything illegal I don't see why not." Sam Langdon replied

"I agree with your father." Janice Langdon chimed

"Thank you both so much! I need to get going before I'm late but I'll see you later tonight."

....

"Okay everyone lets go around the room and introduce ourselves." Daisy said

"Are you really having us do this?" Penelope asked

"Yes I am. In fact Penelope you can go first if you don't mind." Daisy smarted

Penelope was a sassy, punk rock girl of Indian descent. She had a shaved head, wore a skull tee, skinny jeans, and biker books. The look was completed by a nose ring.

"Hi. My name is Penelope. I've been a friend of Daisy's for about 8 years. My family is from India, I'm 18 and I'm as salty as they come." Penelope introduced

"Thank you dear. Alright Dante you are up next." Daisy said

Truthfully Dante was one of the biggest hipsters that Alexander had ever seen. He had thick rectangular black framed glasses, wore a button up plaid shirt, extremely tight skinny jeans, Chuck Taylor's and a fringe to complete the look.

"Heyo. My name is Dante. I am 19. Yes, I know that I am a hipster but I am effing proud of it. I'm a tech genius as well and a movie fanatic." Dante explained

"And last but not least we have Jasmine." Daisy continued

Jasmine was a fair skinned girl with long, soft brown hair that flowed down to her shoulders. It was hard to pinpoint how exactly she fit into this friend group.

"Aye. My name is Jasmine. I'm from England originally but Daisy became one of my closest friends when I moved to town. I'm 18 as well. I am a music/concert junkie." Jasmine introduced

"Thanks everyone for doing that. I've told all of you all about Alexander so you know enough about him already. I will catch you three up to speed on our finds and information. Here is what we know so far... Alice Andrews was last seen at her home. She was dating Kevin Packard but he was seeing Janet Byers on the side. Janet was harassed by her and feels no remorse for her disappearance. Kevin is slightly concerned about Alice's disappearance but he was also harassed by her even before seeing Janet. The final clue we found is a tuft of her pink blouse in the woods somewhat near her home." Daisy explained

They sat in silence for a few minutes so Penelope, Dante and Jasmine could process the clues and information. Alexander broke the silence by asking if any of the three had any updates. Penelope was the only one with any sort of update.

"The only thing that I scrounged up was that Kevin Packard has been purchasing drugs from someone in our town. I have no idea why he would drive 30 miles just to get drugs. I'll look more into it in my free time." Penelope explained

"Interesting indeed. Well I think that wraps things up for tonight. I say we go relax and get our minds off this case for a bit. Whose up for dinner at Mabel's Diner? We can continue the investigation tomorrow morning before everyone has to head back." Daisy suggested
