jane looked at the boy who walked in.

wait.

that's not yuta.

jane's eyes widened at the boy who came in. someone who she didn't want to see ever again. the boy who broke her heart when she was eighteen. the boy who left her without actually explaining. the boy who changed her views of love.

"lucas.." she whispered.

"j-jane?" he said.

lucas walked towards the still girl, and she tried to walk back, but stumbled on the furniture. as lucas saw this, he quickly supported her back, holding her so that she wouldn't continue to fall. jane quickly but gently pushed him off, startling lucas.

"it's- it's been a while has-"

"please don't talk to me.. i'm not looking for a conversation with you.." jane said quietly.

"i- i'm sorry.. i- there's no point in explaining myself.."

"yeah there isn't.. please leave.. it was so easy for you to leave before.. surely, it won't be difficult for you to leave now.."

"can i not at least get a coffee?" lucas smiled.

jane remembered his smile; it was embedded in her memory. she used to feel warmth when she saw it, but now she felt pain i resent. she had so many questions, why did he leave her just like that? she never knew the real reason.
