"jane! what's been on your mind? you've been looking at the sky for so long now.. you look so troubled the whole time that we were in that theme park!" sana said, poking jane's cheeks.

"i'm just thinking about things.." jane responded.

"spill, girl. it's only us here.." seulgi commented.

how ironic. they assume too much.

"i saw lucas, my ex, a couple days ago.. in the company's building.. and i can't stop thinking about what he way saying.. and then there's yuta.. he's been on my mind too, i just don't know why."

"maybe.. you're not over your ex, but then you're catching feelings for yuta." seulgi stated.

"i-i think i am catching feelings for yuta.."

whilst jane was speaking, sana felt someone walk slowly behind them. she turned around, but not fully. she saw a hooded man with a mask on his face. she suddenly felt nervous.

"u-uh.. guys, can we go to starbucks? i want to charge my phone.." sana said, trying to stay away from the man.

"oh, i thought you were on like 70%," seulgi said.

"my phone's kinda broken.. it's battery drains really fast. come on! let's go!" sana's footsteps got quicker and she dragged the two with her. as soon as they walked into starbucks, she let out a sigh of relief. "ok guys, i'm pretty sure there was a guy trying to follow us so i had to bring us here.. he was wearing a hood and a black mask.."

"really??? where is he???" jane questioned nervously.

the three of them looked out of the window, but there was no hooded man in sight.

"i must've scared him off.. phew.." sana sighed.

—20 MINUTES LATER.

jane was now walking by herself to her apartment, but she felt like she was being followed. she quickly turned around.

no one.

she felt weird, it was too good to be true - she swore she heard footsteps five seconds ago. she continued to walk at a faster pace, but so did the footsteps behind her. she waited a few seconds before she turned around and grabbed the person. it was a guy with a black hood and a mask. jane thought about what sana said. the man felt flustered - well acted flustered at least - and he took down his mask.

"jane?!" the guy said.

"oh my gosh.. yuta it's just you.. i was so scared i thought someone was following me.. earlier there was also someone following me and my friends."

"why would i follow you girls, seriously?" yuta said jokingly.

you girls..

jane suddenly became weirded out. "i never said i was with girls.."

"i-i- what? i just assumed! since you told me about your bestfriends, sana and seulgi!"

"did.. i..?"

"yeah! you did!"

"oh.. must've forgotten.."

"yeah.. are you going home? it's kinda dangerous.. i can take you, if you want."

jane willingly accepted, smiling to herself.

the walk was very quiet and awkward for jane. she felt yuta's eyes pierce her skin, she couldn't quite decipher what kind of guy he was, but she wanted to know; she was interested in him. they continued to walk until they reached her apartment block.

"so i guess i should go inside now.." jane said awkwardly.

"wait! i have something to tell you.." yuta interrupted, gripping onto her hand harshly. upon seeing jane wince, he quickly apologised and let her go.

"what is it?"

"jane.. i like you.. and i just wanted to know if you liked me too.. and i just wanted to ask you if.. you wanted to go out with me? i know we only met recently, but there's something about you that captivated me, and i just wa-"

jane felt weird butterflies in her stomach as yuta let out his feelings. she felt an uncertain happiness, and she managed to conjure up words to say. "yuta, i like you too.. i actually genuinely do.."

"really? you do?" yuta said, flashing his smile, and also his psychotic eyes.

his plan was working.
