jane walked happily into the company building, recalling her saturday that was spent with yuta. even though it didn't start the way she wanted it to, she still had a fun time with him. she passed by many people, giving everyone a warm smile. once she reached her office, she saw sana and woojin. once sana laid eyes on her, she was bombarded with questions. "JANE! right on time! now tell me, i've been dying to know, man! what happened with your daaaate with yuta?!"

"sana? seriously! can't we just take this time to appreciate how beautiful today is? the sun's out, there's no clouds, and we end our shifts early! i'm so grateful for life right no-"

"it's so obvious.. he's done something to you. you barely talk so positively, only when your pitch got accepted! like seriously.. i don't know this yuta guy, but he's something if he got you to act all mumbo jumbo cheery happy!" woojin said.

"okay.. maybe yuta is the reason why i'm smiling.. he's just so nice! i mean before we met i bumped into my ex - i may have lied to yuta that i didn't know him but, anyways, he left and then we ordered and sat down and talked and just got to know eachother, i mean who knew getting drunk would have such a butterfly effect? i'm just loving life right no- seulgi how long have you been standing there?"

"long enough to know that you're on your way to FINDING A MAN!" seulgi cheered. "but wait.. you met your ex there?? that's just so awkies man.. but i know you're over him, right?"

jane suddenly thought about lucas. was she over him? five years is pretty long, but she was so broken, and time was taking a while to heal her. why was she even questioning herself? does she not deserve to move on? so why couldn't she?

"jane..?" seulgi said, waving her hand in front of jane's eyes. "you're over him, right???"

"oh! uh.. y-yeah! he's an e-ex.. i don't even th-think about him anymore.."

"oh GOOD! this yuta guy seems amazing for you!" sana said.

"i gotta go guys.. i-i need to.. make coffee! yea make coffee, i'll see you later!"

"WAIT! jane, i already made yo-" woojin started, but immediately gave up after she was meters away.

jane speed walked, her heart was racing and her head was buzzing. she didn't know why she was feeling like this. she looked at her feet, which is a bad idea, especially when you're walking fast. suddenly she felt a big thud, making her head hurt. she had collided with someone's chest. she looked up to see who it was.

her eyes widened.
