Always waiting for happiness to come around.

That's my motto in life. At the age of seventeen I had gone through enough injustice as it was. My biological mother's depression had surpassed to the point of drug addiction and the sperm donor, shit excuse for a father, I had, was an alcoholic.

Shelby had me at the age of fifteen when David knocked her up with the cliché 'form of love' bullshit. My grandparents, being the traditional old folks, forced them into marriage.

By the age of ten I had known every centimeter to my biological father's belt, had knowledge of every secret hiding in the two story house, and been to enough hours of therapies.

Happiness was all but forthcoming in my life. I was swimming in an empty ocean while my closest definition to happiness was the various worlds of fiction I read and our kind neighbor named Anna.

Happiness was still deciding whether to come around or not and was playing a game of hide-and-seek with me. Meanwhile, I kept swimming mindlessly and blinded in my dark abyss. Hoping happiness was done pleasing everyone else and came around fast.
