POV Sakura
"Bye dad!" I call back at the Pari from the sand of the beach. I wave to my dad, Kaito, as we make our way to the water. We all turn back to the water and dive in. I feel my legs come together into my tail as we all look around at each other. And wow, all of the adults look a lot different as mermaids.
"Alright everyone!" My mom, Lucia says. "We've got a long trip ahead of us! Are you sure all of you are ready?"
Everybody confirms and Hanon turns to mom with a smile. "Then lead the way, Lucia! We are off to your kingdom anyway."
Mom's face lights up. "Ok! Follow me!" She starts swimming through the water east. We all follow her, Hanon at her side. I smile up at them, then moving next to Ruri.
"Hey Ruri." I smile at her. She turns to me and returns my smile. "Our moms are close aren't they?" I say.
"Yeah. I think it's pretty cool." Ruri says. "Hey, well be that close when we're that old too, right?"
I nod to her. "Of course!" I laugh. "We'll always be Mermaid Princesses, so that mean's we'll always see each other, right?"
She agrees, holding out her pinky finger. "Promise?"
A small giggle escapes my mouth. My finger wraps around her as I nod. "Promise."

POV Ruri
We haven't been out for long. Only about a half an hour. The sea world is really beautiful. I smile to myself as I follow a particularly cute aqua fish.
Weird as it is, the fish and I have been... talking. The fish told me that her name is Celeste. And she's really nice.
But I suppose I've lost track of the others. "Oh no." I mutter. "What is I can't find them?"
"Don't worry!" Celeste says happily. "If you can't, I'll swim around ahead and get them."
I nod to her. "Alright. I'll see if I can spot them from the surface." I say. My tail carries me to the air above the water. It's surprisingly chilly, but probably just because I'm drenched.
I look towards to clouds, staring at them. It's been awhile since I've just say back and watched the clouds. It's strange though, for so long I've thought my life was so normal. I've had friends, good grades, and never even had a boyfriend. Maybe the most normal life of any fourteen year old girl. Now here I am, finding out that I'm a mermaid, and not only that, a princess.
Maybe I can get used to this though.
I smile to myself as I close my eyes and begin to sing. "Namima wo suberu you ni shiroi YOTTO maru de origami
Nai de kaze ni makasete doko he iku no? Chicchaku natteKonna soba ni iru noni kimochi ni wa sawarenai
Shinjisasete HONTO no futari wo tashikameteTakarabako no KAGI akete ageru yo SUNAO ni nareru
Modokashii omoi tsuyoi yuuki ni kawatte iku yo
Zutto suki to ieru..."As I finish my song, I open my eyes to see a medium sized boat about three yards away. On the boat, I see a boy, probably about a year older than me, so fifteen years old, looking at me. His black hair blows in the sea breeze as his blue eyes that match the ocean stare at me.
"H-Hey!" he calls out. "Are you alright?"
I just continue looking at him speechless. This is the first person who's ever seen me as a mermaid besides the others. I start swimming backwards, making sure not to show my tail.
"Do you need any help?" he asks again. At this moment, I spot the others swimming in the water. I glance at them, then back at him, before retreating into the water.
