POV Masumi
I sit in my throne tiredly, awaiting the return of one of the new servants. Things should be more eventful with them here, but now even Tadashi is elsewhere teaching the new servants about this kingdom.
"Masumi-sama." I hear a voice say, and look over to someone kneeling by my throne.
"Lady Bat, what news have you brought for me?" I demand.
"The plan worked perfectly, Masumi-sama. I planted the crystal on her necklace like you asked. Now we will be able to see everything she does." The boy states, holding up a small object.
I smile at this. "Very good. You have certainly proved yourself to me." A large crystal appears in front of me, and shows crowds of people cheering. "It seems she's already made her speech. Now we wait for tomorrow. We will hear that ceremony."

POV Satomi
I wake up the morning after the speeches. Part of me expected Masumi to make a move. But there wasn't anything suspicious at all. And trust me when I say I was watching for it.
"That's right." I say to myself. "The ceremony is today." I get out of my bed and swim out of my room.
"Satoshi." I hear someone say from next to me. The girl swims in front of me and I smile.
"Hoshi, morning." I say.
"Morning." She responds. Part of me is glad she doesn't talk much, because i myself do the same. "Coco told me to come wake you up. Looks like I was late."
I shake my head. "No, I just woke up early. Did she say where I needed to go?"
Hoshi nods. "Yeah, follow me." At that she starts swimming the way she came from. I follow her to a pair of large, light yellow doors.
"This is where the ceremony is being held. Coco says to wait inside and the goddess of the seas will be there soon." Hoshi tells me. "Are you ready, Satomi?"
I stare at the doors and nod. "I am. It's just talking about my feelings right? We've faced tougher challenges."
Hoshi nods and I open the doors, swimming inside. She closes them behind me. I notice a stool in the room and swim over to it, sitting down.
I close my eyes, thinking about what she might ask. But before I get to think of anything, I hear a voice.
"Young mermaid." It says. My eyes snap open and I look in front of me to see a beautiful woman with a bright white dress. "I am Aqua Regina, goddess of the sea. You are now 15 years of age, and you have come back to the sea from which your mother came. I ask you, young princess, what are your feelings?"
I maintain eye contact with her while thinking before I realize what she meant. "Aqua Regina-sama, I feel like I have a closer connection with the others now. I have always been close to my friends, and now we have something that will keep us together forever."
The goddess smiles slightly and nods. "And what do you feel about the sea?"
"The sea?" I repeat. "Well I feel like it's my duty to keep it safe. It's a beautiful place, and I want to be able to see it forever."
"If you were forced to chose between your friends and the sea, what would your choice be?" She asks me.
I hold back looking at her like a mad person and look at her with a straight face. "My friends of course. I may have a duty at sea, but I have always felt a sense of loyalty to those girls, and I will not ignore it."
Aqua Regina nods solemnly. "Young mermaid, you speak the truth and are one step closer to becoming a true Mermaid Princess." She says. "I have seen over the seas since this world was created, but soon I fear it is time for my rule to come to an end. I ask you, young princess, to speak with the Pink Pearl Mermaid Princess, Sakura. And ask her about your task ahead. But I must leave before I use too much of my power. Good luck in your future journey, Yellow Pearl Mermaid Princess, Satomi Hamasaki."
