POV Kazumi

I sit in the room with Kira. We sit there in silence for a moment, not knowing how to start the conversation. Kira looks at me before deciding to just say what she wanted to. "We need to find a way to keep them together." She says.

I look up at her and nod. "You're right. But how can we do that without Hoshi?"

"We'll find a way." Kira says. "We have to."

Satomi swims in. "My analysis of her room is complete." She says. She hasn't said Hoshimi's name since she left.

"What did you find?" Kira asks.

Satomi sits next to us and pushes her glasses up, holding up Hoshimi's green necklace which held the Pearl. "I found this." She says. Our eyes widen and Satomi hands Kira the necklace. "This would imply that she was most definitely not kidnapped. She left of her own free will.

"Her bed was also a mess. She must've slept before she left. The skirt for the speeches was never touched. And I found one last thing." She says as she holds up a green bracelet made of pearls. "This is not hers. She never wore this before. But the assistants say it isn't theirs and nobody was sent in before they found she was gone."

"So someone was there with her?" I ask as I take the bracelet.

Kira looks at the necklace. "But who would be in there with her? Rina wouldn't let her just leave, and it wasn't any of us. If not the workers then who?"

"Do you think it was Masumi?" I suggest. "Or at least one of the demons?"

"It's not likely." Satomi states. "If it were, they would've taken the necklace. Or a least the Pearl inside. But they were both left behind."

"Then... Whose is this?" I ask, staring at the bracelet.

I sigh as we swim away from the North Atlantic. Even though Hoshimi is missing, we still have a duty to continue our trip. Rina stayed behind to watch and keep her kingdom under control. And to await Hoshimi's return.

The mood was sad between us all. So sad, in fact, that the majority of the trip was spent in silence. As mom told me we were almost there, I notice Ruri wasn't with us. None of the girls know where she had gone. A shudder runs up my spine. She didn't leave too, did she?

POV Ruri

I sit on the boat with Aoi, the end of my tail still splashing in the water. Just a few minutes ago I found myself rambling on about everything that happened with Hoshimi to him.

Aoi sits next to me with his arm around me. "I'm sorry Ruri-san." He says quietly. He notices the tears in my eyes and hugs me. "I'll try to help you find your friend. Ok? I've got this boat don't I? I can look for her."

I look at him sadly. "You'll really do that?"

He nods. "Of course! But you've got to smile ok? Dad didn't like it when people were sad on the boat."

I nod and force a smile onto my face before I hug him. "Thanks Aoi-kun. I should probably go before they ask where I am. I'll see you tonight."

He smiles at me before letting go and I dive back into the water, going back to the now 11 other mermaids.

POV Kazumi

"Come on, Kazumi you must snap out of it!" Mom yells at me. "An entire castle, a kingdom, thousands who have been waiting for your retune, and you can't even manage not to glare at them!"
