Rain has always had a calming affect on me. It seems that when I stand under the sky the water washes all my troubles and stress away, at least for a moment.
Right now, as I stand in the house Daniel and I just bought holding my baby in my arms, I remember what all has happened up to this point. How my husband saved me from my nightmare.

We were all happy. My mom, dad, Liam and me. Until that day.....
Liam, my younger brother, and I had just gotten home from school.
My mother asks "How was school my darlings?"
We both said "It was fine," simultaneously.
I say "I'm going to go change my clothes for dinner."
"Me too," Liam says.
I was 8 at this point, and Liam was 6. I loved him more than anyone in the world except my parents.
The family was dining out for dinner, which we all thought was a good decision until it happened.
While my dad was driving, there was a car on the wrong side of the road, and both his and our cars collided. My father and Liam were killed, but my mother and I were only very badly injured.
When mom and I were released from the hospital we were both very depressed and lost without my dad and brother.
"Lillian," Mom says "go up to your room."
"Why, Mom?"
"Because I want to be alone! Go into your room and don't come out until I tell you!"
"Okay."
I trudge up the stairs with my head down with tears running down my face, and I didn't come out of my room until the next morning for school.
This happened every night after we ate dinner. Get home from school, eat, stay in my room for the rest of the night, repeat. For 9 years. My mother and I barely spoke to each other, and this lead me into a depression.
I closed myself off from everyone at school. Even my friends. I know that I hurt them by doing it, but I thought it was best not to involve them in my problems.
I got bullied a lot for being so aloof in public, but I just ignored everyone who poked fun at me.
