Daniel's POV:::
I woke up to my alarm at 5:30. The day was Saturday, and that sucked. Everyone likes the weekends, but I dreaded them. They were normally the only times I worked.
I got up, showered, and got dressed. My parents didn't know who I worked for, but they just assumed that I worked at some fast food restaurant. But it was far worse than that.
I drove downtown to the office. When I got to the basement of the building I heard a stern voice say, "Jackson! My office, now!"
I rolled my eyes and went with Drone. He was my boss. And no, Drone wasn't his real name. I didn't actually know his real name. I don't think any of us did.

"Sit down. Now, what were you thinking getting close to that girl?! You know you can't do that! Stop making yourself vulnerable, or I'll have you killed. We can't afford to go down because a boy like you couldn't mind his own business."
"Yes sir," I said.
"Putting that aside, I have a mission for you. I need you to teach our new recruit how to deal with interferences during a mission. Then I need you to come and report back here."
"Who is the new recruit?"
"Jake Ryan. He's 15. I figured you'd be a good trainer for him."
"Really? Why so young?"
"He heard about us from one of his friends who is a client of ours, and he asked to join us. I decided to let him, because why not. It's his life he's ruining."
"Wow. Okay then."
"Get going. He's waiting out in the lobby."

I walked out to the lobby to see a young boy, who I assumed was Jake.

Poor kid. He doesn't know what he's doing. But it's too late. If he ever suggested leaving we would kill him.

He had blonde hair and green eyes. About 5'8". He looked strong, so hopefully he had at least something going for him.
"Jake Ryan?" I asked.
"That's me," he said.
"Well, my name is Daniel Jackson, and I was assigned to train you. So you'll be seeing me quite a lot from now on."
"Oh, okay. You look young, how long have you been working here?"
"Three years. And you call me young. I heard that you were fifteen. Tell me, why would you throw away your life like this?"
His countenance changed after I said that. He stiffened up, and he had an emptiness in his eyes. "That is none of your business. Are we leaving or not?"
"Okay, okay. We can leave. Get in the car. Can you drive?"
"I was taught a little bit. Probably not enough to try it right now."
"Okay then, get in the passenger seat."

Lillian's POV:::
There wasn't anything to do when I woke up, so I decided to just sit in the living room and watch a movie.
I couldn't get my dream out of my mind. It felt so real. But it couldn't be possible. Daniel was too pure and innocent to be involved in a gang.

Daniel's POV:::
She would probably never believe it if I told her. But Drone is right. I can't let this go in any longer. But I fear that it might kill me to let her go. I've been alone so long. I don't know if I could take it again.
